THe BP haters and JJ haters and others think about this:

Both teams right now are in stages where a fair amount of business between them could be quite beneficial to both teams.

The Fins need a LOT of better players. The Boys right now have an excess of really good players in a couple of positions. The BOYS need a couple of upgrades that more then likely will have to come from the draft due to the cost of FA (WR, CB). The fins need more core players- and transition guys to improve things for a couple of years untill better ones can be brought in.

Jerrah and BP could work out some deals that would send guys like Carp and maybe Nate Jones, one of our young tackles, maybe guys like berger and Brown, etc. We could package some players for miami's first or second rd picks (a lot of people like Miami's second rd pick since its almost first rd quality but the cap hit will be MUCH less). A combination of picks and players switched between the teams could allow us to trade for a WR (given that Jerrah likes vets there) and draft a top CB.

Just something to consider.

Eh? We don't have an "excess of really good players" at any position. The only possible position that even comes close to that assessment is the Nose Tackle, but I would really argue that point even.

:starspin It wouldn't surprise me if a deal(s) might be made between Dallas and Miami. I would like to see Carpenter go to Miami, he's not doing anything for us, so why not. Parcells drafted him so perhaps Parcells will want Carpenter on his team in Miami, both teams may benefit if Carpenter goes there.

I believe if given a chance Carpenter will blossom into a really good linebacker. I wouldn't mind if does so in a Cowboys uniform. If we do let him go, I hope we get good compensation because he was a first round pick. Parcells knows Carpenter's potential, so maybe he'll bite.

Note: Parcells will not give up draft picks for suspect talent.
