ADAM JONES HAS A BAD MEMORY, OR IS JUST STUPID
Posted by Mike Florio on July 27, 2008, 7:24 a.m.
A reader has pointed out to us an amazing claim for Cowboys cornerback Adam Jones. And, in our view, the situation is proof positive that the guy really isn’t all that bright.

Jones, according to the Ventura County Star, said on Saturday that he participated in three offensive plays during his career with the Titans — and scored three touchdowns.

He says that two plays were reverses that he ran to paydirt. The third was a touchdown pass to the player formerly known as Pacman.

It sounds great. It would sound even greater if it were, you know, true.

According to NFL.com, Jones has two career rushing attempts for eight total yards and no touchdowns. He also has two career receptions for 31 total yards. And no touchdowns.

In fairness to Jones, he has four career punt return touchdowns and one interception that he took to the house. But he has generated not a single touchdown on offense.

We suppose there’s a chance that the reporter got it wrong. For now, though, the import of the story is that Pacman doesn’t understand the concept of statistics, or the ability of people to check them.

Well, I guess Florio is beginning to give up on getting anything quotable out of TO nor any success in his efforts to get TO to rant and rave about something that has upset him. So it's time to start with the 25 year old former Pacman Jones.

Yep it does sound like he's wrong re offensive plays he scored TDs on. Guess the Commish shouldn't reinstate him because of it; I guess he's just too stupid to play in the NFL to go along with his other off field problems. Gee, and I was planning to attend AJ's (Pacman) future induction into the HOF.

Anyway, from some of the stories Florio has written, he's too stupid to hold my attention any further. I might further add if he had written it to point out AJ was wrong in his claim, etc., that might be one thing but he's clearly written a catcha article. I guess AJ now officially replaces TO as Florio's pet dog.

Here's a link to the article. http://www.venturacountystar.com/news/2008/jul/27/glad-to-be-just-one-of-the-boys/

I find it very interesting that the use of quotation marks is used for direct quotes from Adam Jones, but this little tidbit does not use them. I question that Jones even said such a thing at all.

Is this the pot calling the kettle black? I don't see where Florio gets off critiquing anyone's understanding of anything...look at how journalism has simply become sensationalist reporting with very, very few "journalists" actually doing any research, and most often, at least half (if not all) of what they report is made up BS.
