we've done it before.
We traded with Washington to get Lawrence and with Philly to get Spencer.
In division trades though, usually a bit higher cost.
we've done it before.
I'm hoping the Rams take Goff and Philly sells the farm for Wentz
49ers (if Rams take Wentz) or Eagles are the best bets.
The Rams had other reasons to trade all the way up, but the Browns may be surprised at the indifferent market. These QBs are not sure things by any means.
I don't see Dallas trading up at all
And yet the Rams just gave up their next two draft's to do just that?
Fans may have their opinions, but the actions of NFL teams say the opposite.

I'm on board with what the Rams did.
If they hit on the pick then it's a great move.
It definitely is!
I just wish people would look around this league and see what's happening!
Average quarterbacks are getting $100 million contracts!
Sam frickin' Bradford will make $18 million this year!
The Rams gave up two draft's to get a guy they hope works out!
And yet some fans want to pass on the chance to get one and go overkill at running back! Despite having an all-world line capable of making good ones great!
It's Bizarro-World with some people!
Like I said, the Rams have a very unique situation. VERY different than Dallas'
- No quality STARTING QB, which is always by FAR the main reason to take a QB early (Dallas has a VERY high quality starting QB..though his clock is ticking)
- New market that get's a buzz off of star-power (dallas doesn't need new buzz..they lead the NFL in attendance)
- The team is basically built already except for a QB and wr. (Dallas has multiple needs)
- The defense is and very good (Dallas' has a long ways to go)
- They just drafted a stud RB Gurley ..so defense and run game to protect the new QB..perfect set up!
Sadly that bizarro world effects the Dallas FO. Hopefully not, but I will be shocked if they come out of the draft with Wentz/Goff or Lynch.
I don't question that the move made sense for the Rams, I think they were smart to do it. But it clearly shows that quarterback is the most important need on a football team. You said it yourself that they have essentially everything else, right?
And yet they haven't made the playoffs in forever, and all of the picks they got in the RG3 deal didn't make up for not having quarterback figured out.
And if you're assumption is that Dallas does have its STARTING QB position solved, I'll respectfully but totally disagree. Hope is not a strategy.
"because I don't think they intended to take a quarterback."
Directly from the article bud
Before the broken collarbone--which is not a chronic thing--Romo had missed two games in 3 years.
I will submit that they for sure have a starting QB.
But like I said, his clock is ticking.
More like the 'time bomb' is ticking.
Romo hasn't played a full season since 2012. And, unlike the other top quarterbacks, he has missed 27 games since becoming this team's starter in 2006. 27 games!
Given his advancing age, are we to expect his health and his back to get better or worse?
You either see the writing in the wall, or you ignore it and end up right where you were when Aikman retired.
I only hope that unlike some fans, that they've learned from the mistakes of the past.

Stash, just for clarity, are you saying Romo is not a starting QB in this League?
Edit: Saw your response above...
It's way too much risk. Miss on one draft pick and set your franchise back 5 years. They could have stayed put, or moved up a lot less and taken Lynch to develop for a year, filled their WR needs in the 2nd, and kept the first round and 3rd round picks for next season. They'd give up a chance to be potentially more competitive this year, but in a league built around not making mistakes, that's a lot less risk to take to get your guy.
