So does the Cowboys, Landry and GarrettThey aren't going to get 20 years out of him. Pittsburgh likes to keep their HC for a long time.
Do not hold your breath on the Steelers hiring McCarthy unless it is for offensive coordinatorMy best friend is a Stealers fan, been so for 40ish years. I told him that I hope he gets a decade from Carrop Top
He does not want MM so I hope they hire him…..
He lives in Wisconsin where his wife (current) is from. There may be some family in the Pittsburgh area. He hasn’t lived there in over 30 years. “stay close with his family” is a made up benefit. I’ll bet he’s already close to his adult children and step children who are likely all over the United Stares by now. That would be a stupid hire but McCarthy would get to return home and stay close with his family
I was checking out my favorite steelers message board. Everyone right down the line on their McCarthy topic was.....NO THANKSMy best friend is a Stealers fan, been so for 40ish years. I told him that I hope he gets a decade from Carrop Top

This would be the ideal landing spot for himMentioned this on another thread a few days ago. He's from the Pittsburgh area.
Who cares if it is a made-up benefit? His family is from Pittsburgh and McCarthy is from PittsburghHe lives in Wisconsin where his wife (current) is from. You never know. If Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers can agree to work together, it might just work in Pittsburgh since they know each other better than anyone else. They just might need each other to rekindle that old SB fire of 14 years ago.I know he is from the area, but what a weird hire after having Tomlin and that pretty much solidifies Rodgers will not be back.
Curt Cignetti is also from the area, they should talk to him after Monday.
Cignetti is 63. Can’t see the Steelers, who usually hire young up and comers, hiring a coach that old. If I’m the Steelers I’m hiring Flores or Scheelhaase.I know he is from the area, but what a weird hire after having Tomlin and that pretty much solidifies Rodgers will not be back.

Yeah, I'm not seeing a re-marriage there either so somethings gotta give.Would Aaron Rodgers want to play another year or retire, if McCarthy became the HC?
I don't think that's a bad hire. Now, who will be his DC? That will make or break him.
