To add insult to injury, now were letting Dan Campbell go, and what are we going to do, sign a lesser TE, 3rd rate te at that. Scout.com did a report on the 3 best TE's in free agency. Sure they would cost you a million or so, but were going to spend lesser money on a 3rd rate TE. Looks like we are giving up the ship.

Who were you watching last year?

Campbell sucked. Couldn't block worth a **** and he's a liability as a receiver.

Actually, I think the problems lie more with Campbell's injuries and fading skills.

Campbell wanted to stay, BP/JJ passed.

That said, I think he's a good guy and the best of luck to him.

You could make a case that Dan Campbell is a third rate TE at this stage.

Or we've been anticipating this for 2 years grooming the likes of Pierce, Ryan and Curtis.

Hannam had 13 catches last year.

Campbell has 5 the last 2 years and 25 in the 3 years he's been in Dallas.

Hannam 6 foot 2 and 250.

Sounds a little like a guy we missed out on in 2004 draft.

Good luck and goodbye Campbell. He's a stiff in 2006.

Putzier still out there, though he'll likely be off market soon. Schobel already signed. Looking like TE in draft.......

Plus we still have Brett Pierce(good sp. teams player) and Sean Ryan as TE's.
They were high on Ryan before his injury.

campbell was clearly on the downside last year- when your one dimension is blocking and you can't do that very well, it is time to go.

The case has been made. It's indisputable. He was nice before his injury.

Campbell was the guy who outed what his name, you know, the guy on the front page dancing the 'dancing bear' dance for the front page of the DMN; Campbell was a BP spy, here to help rid the Boys of the cancer and the gold brickers, the job is now done and his use is over. We will draft TE that will be as good as our best now.

At this point in Campbell's career...... Hannam brings more to the table. Dan Campbell was a good blocker....Hannam is younger and also a good blocker. He blocked for Alexander, who had a great year. Hannam has impressive hands. Check out the Seattle game again watch his TD that tied the game. I think he brings better abilities around the goaline. He's faster can run better routes, plus he's not banged up and has played at a high level with an NFC contending team.

The guy has a nice track record infact it's eerily similar to Dan Campbell's 3 Seasons ago, when he was a free agent. The Giants drafted Shockey. Shockey's a stud. He plays on Special teams. So did Campbell and he block for Tikki (career season..then). Hannam might not be a lockeroom leader, but its just good football sense to sign Hannam. We drafted a stud in Witten.

I think the ship is pretty solid. These are the type of moves the Patriots or the Eagles or Steelers would make, not flashy, like Synder, wine, dine and by the way the strippers in DC got paid this weekend..anyway have some faith......I am actually enjoying this free agency :starspin

You watch Cowboy games lately? If so, I would like for you to point out what the coaching staff and scouts missed. Because Campbell is supposed to be our blocking TE and he didn't do a very good job of it. Perhaps I can go back and rewatch a game or two that is really made a difference.

LOL...OMG!

What a bunch of *$(#*%.

We don't resign a blocking TE and the season is lost, gone, done, finished, not worth playing, destined for 6-10.

In-freaking-credible...What a total joke this has to be...right? Please?
