That was probably the most intense, playoff type, everything on the line game the cowboys have won in years. Face it--KC is an excellent team. they have the offense that Bill wants with one of the best OL in the league; probably the second best rb in the league right now and a power back at that; a QB that drives the bus and the best TE in the league. In the first quarter, I couldnt remember seeing a running attack like that since the Ravens and Lewis put over 200 on the ground on us. Grandma ma could have scored in a wheel chair on the first TD--they sealed the entire D off!
That being said, I am proud of our front 7. The outside LB's started to adjust later in the game and hold their ground to the outside--Ware, Burnett and Fuji engaged and held ground. We also got some pressure on the QB. He had hardly been touched in the past few games and Fujita's play essentially changed that whole game.
Another huge adjustment in game was using MB3 as a dump off. The kid plays his a** off! We are what we are at this time of year and we have to accept that.
1. we have two back up tackles in the game and there will be breakdowns--the coaching staff showed that they have to get the offense out of first gear and take some risks which paid off huge to Terry Glenn today!Bledsoe is excellent when the pocket is clean

2. Henry is limited with this groin and will be until the off season. We have to accept that. He showed significant lack of burst on the ball--it obviously was affecting his tackling and probably messing with his mind as well.

3.We need some speed for next year. Terry Glenn is our only home run threat. That being said, it was nice to see Witten being utilized a little more down field on the TD-what a catch that was.

4.it doesnt matter if it is JJ or MB3--just get the job done and look at the total stats at the end of the day. I think Bill just rode the hot hand

5.what I was disappointed in was the play of the safeties. I can remember support from Davis once early when he knocked the RB out of bounds but that was about it. Roy missing that tackle on the TE was unacceptable. He tackled like he was 145 lbs. Aaron Glenn could have hit harder! I just dont see the leadership and emotion out of Roy--almost like he is disinterested

6. Final adjustment was on the kick off coverage. I thought we were in for a long day after the first 2 returns by hall, but after that he was contained.

the 3 most disappointing plays for me were the missed tackle by Henry on 3rd and long, the missed tackle by roy allowing the long gainer by Gonzales and the pass to Hall on the second last play of the game
BUT the boys won a must win game against a high quality opponent and we are still in the running for the "tournament" as Bill says

I agree with all your points, but I think Trent Green is far more than a bus driver. Your point on Henry is very correct. I hope it doesn't bite us this week. Gibbs won't miss trying to take advantage of a player who is limited somewhat.
