Well, no one is afraid of garbage QBs.

Yeah, OK. But I am hearing a lot people expressing fear of otherwise medicore teams just because they have good QBs. Some people here are actually afraid the Saints get in the playoffs, just because they have Brees and think he might "carve us up."

The Commanders are one of the best offenses in football. The Steelers, when healthy and on the field, are one of the best offenses in football. They're the two teams that really put up numbers on our defense. Frankly I'd pretty much expect them to. The Falcons could be a threat for the same reason, but they probably have the worst defense of the three teams. Seattle worries me because they have good weapons and a good QB, but their line is crap if they're not allowed to hold on every single play.

Every team in the NFC that has a good QB doesn't have a good defense. Seattle is inconsistent on offense and we can wear them down in our running game.

I think we'll match up well with the seahags. And you get them away from Seattle, and they are not the same.

I see a lot of fear in the various game threads about facing decent QBs in the playoffs. There seems to be a lot of concern out there about facing a Rodgers, Ryan, Stafford, Cousins again or even Brees. Some of these teams are hovering around .500, but because they have good QBs, we are supposed to be afraid of them carving up our defense. How much of a threat do these kind of teams really pose?

The reason being, playoffs arent typically high during games. If our defense gets lit up and our offense can't keep up because the playoffs are a different animal. Giving the offense no margin for error is playing with fire.

We don't force turnovers and we don't pressure the passer. Two recipes that can easily spell defeat in the postseason.

Even an average QB can have a pretty good day if you give them time to throw. Our 12-4 2014 team lost to Colt McCoy and Mark Sanchez.
Correctamundo.

We can't afford stupid penalities and turnovers on offense. Keep scoring.

I would fear any offense this team faces in the playoffs. I just don't have the swagger most fans have with this team. They barely beat the Vikings. Barely beat the Commanders twice. Same with the Eagles. Had to come back down 14 to the lowly 49ers. You give them credit for winning those games but it doesn't make me think they just roll through anybody in front of them.

If they come out flat against the Giants next week that would be 3 straight games where they've been out played. The narrative needs to change if that's the case rather than just staring at the record. A 13-3 1 seed Cowboys team was flawed and bounced out of the playoffs quickly in 2007. That could very easily happen to this team.

This is always my attitude. I've been watching the Cowboys all of my life. "On any given Sunday..." are true words.

Our team is very young. Perhaps so young they don't know how to lose in the playoffs. But they could just as easily not know how to win there either.

If we want to roll all the way through these teams to a superbowl championship, every phase of the game needs to be clicking. Otherwise, we will be in for some dog fights.
