If the Cowboys aren't leading the division, the leader will not be any better than 6-4 and that may be generous. Dallas just needs to be within one game at likely 5-5 to be in good position when Romo and co. are back. Fortunately the division is in a down year and no other team seems capable of running away with it.
The season is not lost. Looks like we have a very solid defense that will only improve one Hardy and Gregory are back in a couple weeks. The offense just needs to tread water for a while.
I think if we were a 3-13 team this division would go down like the NFC South last year. Wouldnt shock me at all we are sub .500 with Weeden and still leading the divison when Romo comes back.
- The Giants seem to be making slow progress building there roster. They have some strengths ( WR and CB ) but they are far off from being a good team right now. It wont get much better over the course of the season. Put it this way, I think they are one good offseason away from 8 win talent.
- I see the Eagles being a 6 win team this year. Front 7 is very good. Secondary is not. Very poor intirior OL marginalizes and very good OT set. Bradford is a poor QB. He was decent is STL but I think all the injuries have made him inneffective. There WR's are incredibly young. There top 3 WRs ( Mathews, Agholor, and Huff) combine for two full seasons in the NFL. And I dont think any of them are true #1's except maybe Mathews but he isnt there yet. And with the intirior OL in shambles I dont see the running game turning around. I think the Eagles can beat teams with poor OL's, but thats not much else.
-Commanders are interesting. Looking at how they played so far, they may be the only real threat. I havent heard anything about Scherff, but judging by how the Skins have ran the ball he seems to be having a big impact. They may be our only threat, but thats without Romo and Bryant. I think they win 8 maybe 9 this year
