I've shown this before on the board comparing their numbers. Romo was really turning into a good veteran QB by the end and putting up some of these same numbers Dak is at this point in his career. They both have same two issues though --- Playoff Chokers (which I would probably give Romo the edge on playing better), and Can Their Body Hold Up? (Which I probably give Dak the edge on staying healthier longer).

And impressive considering neither has ever had a defense lol
Issue #3 they share. LOL. Although can't say they didn't get a shot. Dak had a scary QB Rush and Turnover defense for a while with DQ. Romo started with the Parcells 3-4 which was a pretty good unit by the time Wade took over.

I posted it exactly 127 starts each. No apple to oranges comparison.

It is very similar except for one thing one is no longer playing and another is very healthy and motivated in the best shape of his life this is 2014 Tony Romo the way Prescott's playing right now the understanding of the offense and the control he has except for I believe he doesn't have a recurring injury You know like the one in his Romo's back..

Therefore within the next two seasons prescott will probably have all of those on his side of the Ledger.

But yes they were definitely on a similar path but the way Prescott handled this offseason with his training he did different things with his body he seems to be in like great shape I think he's going to be able to play longer...

So yeah that's something we already already knew even though we didn't see the exact stats these two have had very similar careers and also not the reason we haven't been winning big games that would be mostly on the coaching staff the defense the GM not going all in..

Getting so lucky back to back having quarterbacks where you didn't have to go search for a decade for one is such a waste on this team to not have made a little more effort to put more talent around the team especially on defense.

So yeah we might waste two really good quarterbacks careers great quarterbacks they may not be elite they may not make the Hall of Fame but there's some teams out there that wish they had these guys they probably would have done more with them...

Strikingly similar careers.
Also, neither were really drafted to play the number of games that they did/have and both have suffered the same awful team owner/gm and bog standard coaching.
As much as I appreciate loyalty it it always makes me wonder why they sign all these new deals if they were really looking at this teen the way fans do the way your statement is worded why didn't they just leave?

That they love to be cowboys they both love it more than Parsons obviously But as much as I hate persons now for leaving you can't totally blame him even though it was really greed and money more than it was winning just like Myles Garrett stayed with the Browns but he will maybe have a better opportunity with the packers than he had here to win games.

You think about it most of our homegrown superstars stayed their entire careers at least their primes with the Dallas Cowboys and never left....

They are literally the same player.

Too bad Romo's career was wasted by never having a complete roster around him and Dak is in danger of reaching the same end.
Truly believe Prescott's always kept his body in better shape If you see what he did this offseason he took that to another level The guy looks like he only had like 3 percent body fat more lean and quicker than he's been in a very long time and that could extend his career.. He plays longer maybe just maybe he has that lucky one year where they make it to at least the NFC championship game maybe a Super Bowl just by longevity you know I just think he's going to play a few more years more than Romo I mean when you crack your back three times whatever fractures he had it pretty much takes you out of it back injuries but Prescott had bad luck with injuries but nothing that really is going to stay with him.....

Which means we have had B+ to A- QB play for a long time and very little to show for it.
Correct you know like Dan Marino and Jim Kelly, I mean yeah I guess they at least went to a Super Bowl but there's been a lot of wasted talent everywhere I mean Joe Burrows sure he went to a Super Bowl but that's not what he wants so far Lamar Jackson hasn't fared much better in the playoffs.

It's crazy because you look how did Nick Foles and guys like Jim Mcmahon and Brad Johnson and even guys like Garoppolo and Purdy make a Super Bowl it There's been a whole list of them I mean Mark Sanchez and Blake Bortles making it to championship games they they it just doesn't make a lot of sense our quarterbacks and we've had some great running backs at times but it seems like the playoffs instead of elevating the games they all played worse..

Penalties the mistakes the the game plans the lack of adjustments it all comes back to haunt us in the big games....ughh

It's on a side note I always keep this in the back of my memory how is it that Drew Brees, Brett Farve, and Aaron Rodgers play for like 19 years and only have one Super Bowl win each, and someone like Eli Manning has two in less time....

This can only end one way

Clearly romo was better

“The same QB” is a lazy analysis when you factor in era, eye test, and the teams they had around them

Kinda think both would have at least been in the Super Bowl with a better run organization!

It's pretty eerie. I'm not convinced it'll happen as he's already 32 years old but hope Dak can put some more playoff magic into his resume before hanging them up.
