4-2...spin it anyway you want, buts its a disappointment with this team
Offensive MVP...this was a tough decision for me...Romo has good overall numbers but clearly hasnt been the same the last 3 games as the first three, and he's already fumbled 6 times (and easily could have 8 if not for two bonuses from the refs last week) and thrown 5 picks (he's also had several easy picks dropped or broken up by our receivers)...Owens has been taken away for 3 or 4 games now..Witten has been his usual consistent self..after the GB game I would have said the OL as a group, but they've stunk 2 of the past 3 weeks..the next thought would be Barber, but he has averaged just 4.0yds per carry overall, incl 2.6, 3.7 and 3.3 the last 3 games...its also went mostly untalked about, but he already has fumbled 4 times this yr..thats a pace for around 10, which is not good. So I'm going with Felix Jones...he's made three of the biggest plays of the season (ko return vs Philly, 60 yd TD vs GB, 4th & 4 down TD run vs Cinci)...the game he wasnt used at all we lost (Wash) and he has nearly broken numerous other runs for long gains...he's averaging an unheard of 8.9yds per attempt and has probably another 50 yds or so on 2 holding calls...when he returns, he needs to be a bigger focal point of the offense
Defensive MVP...to me there were only two guys to even consider, Ware and Ratliff...I'm going with Ware, because his numbers are good and he's doing it despite constant double and triple teams, and having backs/TE's chip him constantly
Most improved offensive player- Miles Austin
Most improved defensive player- Marcus Spears...he's been excellent vs the run, and is getting in the backfield quite a bit as well...last week he had two huge hits on Warner, one that forced the gimmee int for Hamlin..they should start leaving him in on passing downs more, because Hatcher and Bowen are doing basically nothing when they come in
Most disappointing offensive player- you could probably pick any numbers of guys..I did think Deon Anderson would be better than what he's shown though
Most disappointing defensive player- tie between Ken Hamlin, who got a massive contract and has done basically nothing on the field, and Adam Jones, who turned out to be no better than average (and IMO mediocre) on the field and proved to still be an idiot off of it
Best special teams player- Folk...I thought about giving it to Felix, but Folk is as good a placekicker as there is, especially when it comes to FG's...still needs to improve the kickoffs some
Worst special teams player- Adam Jones...he was just horrendous on punt returns, which was the one thing I thought he'd be really, really good at...averaged a paltry 5.0 yds per return
Best play of the season- Jones' 60 yd TD run at GB...totally changed the game
Worst play of the season- too many to pick just one...the 3rd and 18 screen pass (that Canty actually defelected) vs Arizona would be up there though
Best draft pick- Felix Jones without question
Worst draft pick- Walden for obvious reasons
Best coaching job- first 3 games it was Houck without a doubt...now...nobody
Worst coaching job- Wade/Stewart...no excuse for the defense to be this average to mediocre...
