Our safety play is not the issue.

Ummm 0 pass rush + Megatron = Tons of Yards.

It doesn't matter who you are as a CB or safety, if you give Stafford enough time to lob it up he will get it.

WE NEED A PASS RUSH. Then most of our secondary problems are solved. Seriously people be more intelligent than what you are displaying!

Our defense got torched badly. But in 20/20 hindsight they kept us in the most of the time until the last quarter. Without those 4 takeaways which gave us good field position we would actually be losing by a lot more. The defense was what kept us in this game. Offense needs to do their share also and take advantage of those turnovers. If offense did what their supposed to do and converted on those turnovers, this game would have been over earlier.

True but regardless an NFL team can't blow leads of 10, 10 and 6 in ten minutes and give up 24 points and 260 yards in ONE Quarter.

I know and agree. But, is this an NFL defense today with all of the injuries? That has to be taken into account when game-planning the offense. At the least, have them rested as much as possible in the 4th.

Scandrick is a veteran and he let a slow receiver waltz past him for a 40 yard gain and didn't even tackle him in bounds. Injuries aren't an excuse. You're not excusing the offense for the franchise RB being out and Waters most of the second half and the #2 WR are you?

I am not excusing the offense completely, but if I am being honest.....

Murray-was the only key injury(we don't run much anyways)
Miles-we sure haven't missed him up to this point
Waters-played and got hurt but wasn't too noticeable when he went out

Defensive line-it is Hatcher and a bunch of journeymen

Well we simply aren't going to win 38-30 games every week. A defense this bad, injuries or not, does not give you an above .500 team.

You can be disappointed we don't hang 40 a game but even a decent defense we'd be 6-2.

Our offense for all its admitted faults is not turning the ball over. and they are scoring late in games to hand leads to the defense.

If we have bad players on defense for whatever reason than we simply are gonna be 8-8 or worse.
