After flying to 3-0, Cowboys eyeing 5-0
Associated Press - September 24, 2007 8:15 PM ET
IRVING, Texas (AP) - The Dallas Cowboys are 3-0 and boast the most productive offense in the NFL.
They have a budding star in Tony Romo and a defense that's getting better every week.
And their next two games are against winless teams who've just lost their offensive stars.
Dallas has scored 116 points, the last 34 against a Chicago defense widely considered among the best in the league.
The new defensive scheme coach Wade Phillips is implementing seems to be coming together, too.
St. Louis heads for Texas Stadium on Sunday without running back Steven Jackson, followed by Buffalo on October 8th.
Meanwhile:
Dallas safety Keith Davis strained his right shoulder. He may not practice Wednesday.
Fullback Oliver Hoyte missed the Chicago game with a neck injury.
Phillips will be talking to the league office about officiating, especially the fact Dallas didn't get the ball back after a sack on fourth down with about three seconds left in the first half.
