In 10 of the Eagles 11 wins this season, when they score the first TD of the game they win the game. It was only against the skins in week 12 that they didn't score the first TD and still won.

In all 4 Eagles losses this season, the Saints, Raiders, Cowboys, and Chargers all scored the First TD of the game and ended up winning the game. So that is how predictable the Eagles are each week. You jump on them early they lose, they jump on you early and they win.

So if the Cowboys can have a repeat performance and score first then that should be the key to winning. Normally this stat wouldn't mean anything but when a team wins 10 of 11 when scoring first, these are numbers you have to take seriously.

its funny you mention this.i can remember watching a game one time that john madden and pat summerall commentated back in the eighties or early nineties and john madden said that the team that scores a touchdown first usually wins about 90 or 95% of the games played.i don't know the exact percentage but i've noticed through the years that is usually the case.i hope sunday we come out focused and score at will against the eagles defense.

Dallas had a good reversal of a disturbing statistic lately. I think it was 16 straight games that they did not score a TD on their opening drive. It was the worst out of all the teams in the NFL. Now, they have put that streak to bed by scoring a TD on their opening drive in the last two games. Keep that streak going.

As long as we aren't giving up big plays, it doesn't matter who scores first. Philly can't maintain the long drives that will consistently get points. If we don't allow Jackson to run all over the field, Philly won't win.
