I was at the game so I had a different perspective.

- Romo Should have been picked on the Crayton play WOW!

- Giants got a bad call on the crackback block?

- Romo was OFF - he took some bad chances and got lucky. He could have been picked in the EZ by Madison on Glenn route.

- TO's drops were absurd and put Romo over 300 for the day.

- TO's catch and run on 3rd down was huge.

- Aaron Glenn had Eli picked in the EZ , should have made that play.

- We don't blitz enough - we gave Eli way too much time.

- We let the Giants waltz down the field to tie it at 20 after keeping them in check all day - why? b/c Tiki ripped us underneath.

- Henry&T-New and Glenn made some huge open field tackles, Henry especially inside the 5 on Jacobs which helped force the Giants settle for 3.

- That was some catch and throw by Romo to Witten - WOW. Even when Romo was a bit off- he had 20 completes and a HUGE pass connection with Witten.

No, that was a textbook ILLEGAL block. Aikman, Buck and everyone else who thinks it was a bad call don't know the rule.

As been discussed, the crackback was the correct call. Outside wrs cannot come inside and block low, Aikman really mislead a lot of people and nobody has ever corrected it.

Okay my bad then, I bit for Aikman as well - he has the whole world thinking that was a bad call. So the WR cannot come back into the play and hit low?

absolutely true.

THis is not the ncaa, its the nfl.

This is why all those 5 wr all the time offenses in high school and college, a la texas tech and southlake carroll do not work in the nfl. You can not block this way in the nfl, plain and simple.

Actually, I agree with Romo. He threw the pass wider than expected and the DB had no real chance to intercept it. His best bet would have been to tip it away (it looked like he touched it just barely) because it was out of his reach for an interception. It did not go through his hands, it went beyond his hands.

I also don't think the pass to Crayton could have been picked.

I watched it time and time again and it looked like the guys arms were fully extended and he was just able to deflect the ball with his fingertips.

Romo put just enough on it so it could not have been picked!

My eyes played tricks on me... I thought I saw an INT... then I saw that Crayton had it... whew!!

Okay, from the other side ...

  • Tiki's fumble was recovered by the Cowboys and was seen on one of the camera angles the replays showed (the last one I believe) during the live game but not on NFL Replay. The guy for the Giants who got the ball pulled it out of the Cowboys players hands several seconds after he had possession but the refs were looking in the wrong place.
  • Eli threw two should-have-been-interception passes. One went right into the stomach of Bradie James but he wasn't expecting it so he missed it.
  • The other went right into the arms of Aaron Glenn but he couldn't hold on to it in the end zone.
  • Ware was held on several plays throughout the night.
  • On the long screen pass play to Brandon Jacobs, I believe it was Aaron Glenn was blocked in the back (very plain to see) but no call was made.
Now, I'm not complaining but I am tired of people saying we were lucky and the Giants played better. Neither team was great but the Giants were not as good as people are making them out to be.

Romo was not lucky, just rattled. Not a lot of swagger, just business. I like that in a QB. When he is under serious pressure just does his thing.

I did, too. Then when I went back and looked at it closely, it was clearly a better throw than I thought. Still too close for comfort and not a throw I want to see Romo attempt very often, though.

To be fair, I wouldn't get give Aaron Glenn much of a chance to taking down a rumbling Jacobs :laugh2:

Yeah, who was our weakling who couldn't hold on to the ball? Replays clearly showed their fullback didn't have it at first. He had plenty of time to tug it out, though.

Hmm ... I didn't notice that one. I'll have to go back and look.

Who said the Giants played better? I never heard that from Giants fans even , are people saying that!??? NO WAY! Even at 20-20 that WHOLE building feared Romo coming back. And NEVER EVER did I feel we were losing that game at ANY point.

I gotta say it... if not for th FOUR personal fouls by the Giants it could have gone the other way... they were a earlier version of us with penalties costing them

Well lets calm down and admit, he threw a bad pick, he SHOULD have been picked in the EZ and he overshot Witten twice , once in the EZ, once before the Gramtica winner. He was a bit wobbily on the day BUT in the end he maxde it happen, which is all that counts. AND I hope he never throws that Crayton route again.
