I knew the Commanders would do this. I live in the DC area. I knew a win against Dallas would make the Commanders season and buy them some time. Instead of them starting him coming off the bye...at home. They start him on the road in Tampa. So now the Giants and Eagles get to face the Commanders again with a first time starter. It reminds me of last year when the Eagles pulled Mike McMahon against the Commanders last season when we needed the Eagles to win to give us a chance to make the playoffs. So the Commanders are out of it and we are fighting the Giants and Eagles to get in, well the Eagles and Giants job against an NFC East opponent just got easier. But that is OK. We need to roll up our sleeve and knock every team in the mouth and stay in control of our own destiny.

I know what you mean. And I think the Eagles let the Commanders win on purpose. They were beating the Skins with Mcmahon and they put him on teh bench on purpose just so We wont have achance to make it in...Those ******s!.

Everyone hates us..

Eagles
Giants
Commanders
carinals
Niners
Steelers

Everyone...

If they had the chance to mess anyone up it would be us...Jeez.

They did not start him on the road vs. Philly.

you are missing my point...they had a bye week before the played us...AND Campbell took a lot of the snaps...but the Skins (and the Refs)...were going to pull out all of the stops to beat us...which is why Campbell was never considered to play against us...they could NOT start him in Philly because they had beat us the week before

All I am saying is I saw this coming a mile away...they simply wanted to beat us to buy more time

You titled your post "We are everybody's Super Bowl", but I like how you finished your post up with the sentense "But that is OK. We need to roll up our sleeve and knock every team in the mouth and stay in control of our own destiny." That's a great point because it's time this Dallas team STOPS letting teams get juiced to play thrm and make them their Super Bowl and STARTS getting juiced to play their opponents and trats these opponents as Dallas' Super Bowl. What you said is all about attitude-change and this team needs it to start kicking the teeth out of their opponetns. If this team makes that attitde-change then teams won't come to Dallas looking for a fight, they'll be fearing the confrontation.

We will win BOTH games. The rematches are ours. NY & Philly.

Yeah I'm a bit bummed to see Campbell start now but in reality I think we'll get in if we win 10 games and if we don't I'm not sure we'd deserve anything but staying home.

Counting on the Commanders or any other spoiler to knock teams off on our behalf is coming through the backdoor to the playoffs and I'm much more interested in coming through the front door on our own.

Have you looked at the standings/records?

We dont have to backdoor anything.

We don't...but winnng 5 out of 7 games when you still have to face the Colts, Eagles, Giants, Saints, Falcons is not an easy task. Like last year...gift wraping a game to the Skins is going to have us tossing and turning at night. With Ellis out and Terry Glenn not certain AND Romo is still very young.....

Look I am hopeful...but I just have a suspicion we will finish 9-7. If that is good enoug, then great. But if it is not, hopefully this will be the last time we simply GIVE a game to teams.

And let me be clear...I don't want to be given anything, but I know this team could make some noise if we get in. So if someone else knocks a team we are fighting for a playoff spot off....hey I will take it. We are not the 90s Cowboys (yet). So a little help is still needed.

If Dallas can somehow find a way to beat the Colts I will believe again, otherwise they are just a .500 team struggling to string a few wins together. They have to beat a good team at some point.

I agree with you 100%. They have to beat a good team at some point. They need to win 3, preferably 4 in a row at some point. And beating the Colts will open the rest of their entire schedule up. Everyone knows we will beat the Bucs on Thanksgiving day. But if we lose to Indy, then beat the Bucs...it will continue the lose one win one...and we will just be 6-5. But beating the Colts would boost our confidence, it will allow us to put together that elusive 4 game win streak. AND it will bring us some respect from the NFL. We will always be the oppositions Super Bowl, but the disrespect we get from the refs at times is just atrocious. Parcells has said HE NEVER sends tapes into the NFL front offices about officials. You would think the refs appreciate that...but I wonder if it haves the opposite effect. A good Cowboy team in the post season is great for us and great for business.

I don't want hand outs from the refs...but stop calling ticky tack bullsh*t that you can call on every play against every team, but choose to call it on us at the most inopportune time
