Texas A&M senior T Cedric Ogbuehi will have surgery soon to repair a torn ACL suffered in the school's bowl game, according to Rand Getlin.
This is crushing news for Ogbuehi. The Aggiesbeat the Mountaineers in their bowl game, but it came at a price. Ogbuehi could have entered last year's draft and was already being criticized for his play this year. He was set to attend next week'sSenior Bowl. Brandon Thomas suffered amajor injury while working out for a team last year and was not selected until the third-round by the 49ers. Conversely, Dominique Easley tore his ACL during his final season at Florida and was selected at the end of the first-round. Jan 12 - 7:01 PM

If he is there in the bottom of the 2nd I would gamble on him and resign Parnell. Parnell starts but Ogbuehi is the future RT.

Talk about your all-time backfire: If this kid would've come out last year, he would've likely been a top 15 pick. Many mocks had him going in the top 10 last year, some even in the Top 5. He decides to return and surprisingly plays really poorly this year, and now tears his ACL in a bowl game, and could see himself falling significantly in the draft. Gotta feel bad for him.

Tough break and yeah, seems like a potential RT target. However, the OL that came from Texas A&M recently, have they worked out?

Luke Joeckel didn't seem all that good when we played the Jags, but I don't watch every week obviously. And it sounds like Jake Matthews was kind of meh for Atlanta at RT as a rookie. If Ogbuehi also had kind of a down year, I'm wondering how much of their reputation was due to Manziel running around and escaping sacks. Feels a bit like the string of Baylor linemen that all bombed in the NFL.

I know PFF isn't the best, but Mathews graded out as the worst OT in football

This is why it's nuts for any player with a first round grade not to come out. While noble, you are playing with fire, not to mention your future.
