He's no Matt Johnson
Not many are.
He's no Matt Johnson
Likes to lay wood and has a head injury. Gotta play smart.
I don't like it either. I just don't think he can play.
I may get boooed for this but I have never been all that sol on Barry Church ( let me duck now)
In my opinion, made the team tonight.
Interesting that he was in at safety early and Heath was pushed to nickel DB.
Yes.
I don't like it either. I just don't think he can play.
And the depth at safety just got stronger...hoooah!
Clarence Hill @clarencehilljr 9m
Ahmad Dixon really got the Cowboys attention. Got some reps with the first team today. He showed up big time. Garrett was very impressed.

good for him,he needs to avoid any further head injuries though.
I wouldn't call what we have at safety depth.
Very impressive debut for my pet cat. I really like the way this guy plays.
I wouldn't call what we have at safety depth.
He will start for Dallas by the end of this rookie year, book it.
I saw a lot of him in college too and I was very excited for the pick, esp in the 7th round. He was in my Cowboys mock draft picks but I really thought he'd be gone somewhere rounds 4-5. Love his game. Sure he's not a true cover safety but frankly I'm not sure we have any decent cover S's on our entire roster right now. At least Dixon can do SOMETHING well. He played great for Baylor while facing forward and the ball and WRs in front of him. He has outstanding (and quick) reaction time. I thought he did pretty well at Baylor against the short passes, screens, TEs, short routes, quick outs, as long as the play is in front of him. The deep stuff will haunt him but hopefully he improves there. The deep stuff haunts most Ss in the NFL. Dixon excelled playing a gambling, attacking-style D. I'm afraid our lack of a DL, pass rush, and overall horrible D will expose him. BOTOH, it'd make Ed Reed and Eric Berry look bad too.
I have little doubt the guy sticks to our roster and sees signify snaps by the end of the season. Will not surprise me at all if he gets some starts before the year is over.
He's going to make some big plays and it will be hard to keep him off the field, esp given the slew of meh we have at the S position. The rest don't get burned as much, but they don't make any plays either.
I really hope this guy makes it, he got critizized during the combine and pre draft stuff, too slow, etc, he just seems too have the instincts I just think that when you want too lay the wood all the time you'll go out like he did, but certainly like too see people that like too hit and bring guys down not just hit and not wrap up.
