In 2023, the only reason the Lions came close to beating us was because Aidan Hutchinson got 3 sacks. Tyron Smith was not good. He's gone now.

It wasn't Gibbs or Goff or St Brown that made it close...it was Hutchinson. This time, maybe we can just let him play himself out of the game with his current struggles. Our young O line is not looking bad. Booker had a great game against Chris Jones. Nate Thomas in the absence of Tyler Guyton was not bad. I think we had only 1 or 2 holding penalties against the Chiefs. Does anyone know exactly how many we had?

Just saying....letting their own struggles deteriorate on themselves might be a good idea. What pass rush do they have without Hutchinson? And Dak given time and comfort to throw has not been bad once this year. Ok maybe the Bears but I all but forgot what went on in that game.

He has 8.5 sacks in 12 games. Hope we give Thomas some double and chip help.

The only reason they came close was because Hutchinson tried to trip the Cowboys RB and the female ref claimed our TE did it to Hutchinson instead of Hutchinson trying to do it.

Very odd callout for 2 reasons.

1. Hutchinson spent 90% of the game lined up over the right tackle not left tackle and the major point swing sack in the 4th that took the cowboys out of field goal range was clearly him lined up against Steele

2. Tyron literally made 2nd team all pro that season

How in the heck did you watch that game and translate it too "only reason it was close was Tyron was awful"

I didn't say the only reason was Tyron was awful. I said only reason was Hutchinson got 3 sacks. Dude come on now

Yeah, Steele, too. We have to have a plan for handling Hutchinson. Should be similar to our approach to Crosby against the Raiders.

With all the bad holds KC was getting away with Dallas OL had to have holds that looked like WWE finishers to get called.

Point being what was or wasn't called in one game has almost zero on what will or won't be called this game

The Lions defense is middle of the road . It’s the offense ( running game ) that will test Dallas front 7 . Goff should be sacked a minimum of three times he’s the epitome of statue

Where’s the struggling? He has 8.5 sacks and 71 pressures. He’s the fourth ranked edge rusher, according to PFF.

1 of the 3 sacks Tyron allowed that season was to Hutchinson. The other 2 in that game were on Steele.
He had 2 on Steel as a rookie the previous season before Steele tore his ACL and MCL!

If I remember right, Hutch was winning fairly often even when we gave Steele help. Dude just wrecked s#!+ that game. I don't think he's any less dangerous now

If he lines up against Steele, we are in big trouble!

Steele has been playing well the last few weeks, so hopefully he'll keep it up. But players like Hutchinson, Crosby, Watt, Garrett, Parsons are going to win at times. You have to have a plan for limiting them. Hopefully, we've got a good enough one.
