Every week Troy is on WFAN talking NFL for 15-20 mins. This week, he clearly didnt think Dallas warranted much of his time. lol. He buzzed through the "Dallas talk" in about a minute.

Here were his only points:

1) Before the Chicago game he thought maybe Dallas had turned the corner as they started playing better.

2) From the very first time he sat and talked with players and coaches about this team...every guy was saying how this team is different. How it just feels different and there is something about this team on the field and in the locker room that everyone likes.

3) And then they go out and play the Bears and are completely "non-competitive". And he thinks that right there says the most about the team.

I remember last offseason reading the same comments from the players especially D Ware.

I guess I should have taken into account pretty much every NFL player gives the same spill about his team.

Maybe Aikman should step up and comment about having a different GM. We gave Jerry a try. Now after 25 seasons it is time to try a different GM. Don't worry Jerry, you can still be the owner.

we are well into the season to evaulate.

we beat the bad teams(barely)

we get crushed by good teams and marginally good teams

thats the team,

now, we play in a sucky division. any other and Garret may have already been fired. Playoffs wouldnt even be a discussion , probably mathematically eliminated

if, and thats a big if, we make the dance we are going to get CRUSHED.

I just googled to see if Aikman has went public with any comments...and this is the best I could find. NOTE...this was from early this year.

The FOX NFL analyst said Garrett is simply handling the situation the way team owner and general manager Jerry Jones is telling him it should be handled.
"That's essentially what happened, or at least that's the way it looks. Jerry comes out and says there are going to be a lot of changes this off-season and everyone's going to be uncomfortable, I didn't hear a comment from Jason Garrett with regards to that. I didn't hear him say that during his post-game press conference or postseason press conference. So yeah, it's got the look and feel as though Jerry's making these decisions and I don't know that that's necessarily good."
...
"I haven't seen anything up to this point that's been done that makes me believe that this team is going to be better based on the changes that have happened within staff."

Even Troy thinks this team is a joke now.................................no wonder he blows them off and spends like a min talking about them...............doesnt take too long to say they suck.

We suck totally different this year.

I know! It's crazy!

I'm shocked by the number of posters, here and elsewhere, who seriously make this argument. Every year, the Cowboys are done in by their pass defense. Yet, these people deny any similarities between the current season and seasons past, and claim the reasons for mediocrity in one year are completely different from the reasons in previous years. Moreover, they claim the reasons for mediocrity were completely unpredictable.

If you are an eternal Cowboys optimist then it is very easy to get fooled. Jerry seemingly has had some help from Garrett the past 4 seasons with things including the draft. And the draft has looked better than 2009s dud draft and the 15 years before that. However even a Jerry backer like my self finally has changed his tune. Our cap situation prevents the team from adding much. The solid players on the team are now turning toward the downsides of their respective careers...some falling off the cliff pretty steep. The same injuries, the same players. I don't know if I am ready to start a stock holder collection to buy the team or start accumulating donations to make him sell it to a 3rd party or start the major league embarrassment campaign with media interviews asking the media why they don't ask the real questions. Could work on boycotts or signs with jerrys stretched back face cancelled out like a cigarette sign. Picket all his pizza shops so he gets the message by watching sales fall like Wares career. But maybe things will change in Dallas soon but nothing will change if nothing is done. Big boss Jerry is just too happy like a King who collects taxes on his people but could care less about them.............. Revolution.

You mean our big losses when we played Den, KC, and Det?

Thats the problem, the trend line is going down and not up..................earlier in the season we were competitive against the good teams (still lost, but we were competitive).

Now, we have been blown out 2 of the last 4 games and one of those games was against a 6-6 team missing 6 starters to injury, starting 2 rookies on their o-line, and starting their backup QB, in artic-like conditions..............and got embarrassed.

This team is getting worse under Garrett, the trend line is going down and not up when the exact opposite should be happening by year 4 of a coach's tenure.

I dont think it is totally on the pass defense. When the DL was getting pressure early in the season the secondary were getting turnovers. Nomore pressure look whats happened. Atleast early on the team was giving the offense the ball back with short fields off them turnovers even if they were giving up a lot of yrds. Early in the season Dallas still gave up alot of yrds but other then the Broncos game alot of them drives ended up in Fgs or turnovers. Now they just are too beat up to stop anything.

When has The offensive ever played better then the Denver game ??? Ohh that's right "moral victory "

You call Detriot a good team???

KC, I'll give ya. But they did have the worst record in football last year(i think). And it was an early game,,,,,,,,they were just getting started,,,,,,new coach. New QB. New .......

But I willl give u that game. Hell, I think we should've won it.

But. Crushed. Lost; Not much of a difference when it really comes down to it.

Because we didn't show up Monday night means the trend line is going down?
