List of the top 10 passing duos in the NFL includes Aikman to Irvin at No. 6. Take a look back at the greatness of 2 out of the 3 Triplets - talk about memories. See video:

Would like to see Romo to TO make that list someday. After all, they've now got 4 more years to get it done & to win Super Bowls of course.

Hey Sago. Thanks for that. I love seeing those types of videos. It still makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up

Thanks! I really miss that kind of play. I said I wasn't gonna do this... Does anyone really still think that Romo is that good? NOOO... don't get me wrong. I'm not starting a Tony Romo bashing thread. I like Tony, I really do but he has a ways to go before he can be put in Troy's league.

Wow...I grew up with those guys...I still can't believe they, along with Emmitt, are done.

I hate to say this, but I took their style of play for granted. I wish I would've taken more time to cherish what we, as fans, had back then.

We have something special right now, however it'll be tough to top those great seasons in the 90's.

suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch a sham that injuries ended both men's careers early. had they both had the opportunity to play another three-four years, there's no doubt they would have been higher on that list. and there would have been another vince lombardi trophy in dallas.

I don't believe we would have won another SB but I do agree that they could have played together longer without the injuries that cut their careers short. Coaching and losses on the O-Line and D-Line had really diminished our overall talent by the time Irvin went out. Losing Novacek & Moose also hurt us.

It would have been nice to see them play together a few more years though.

You must be a young fan.

Having enjoyed the 70's, and thinking it would always be that way, ... the 80's ripped my heart out and stomped on it.

So when the 90's rolled around and brought us 3 out of 4 Super Bowls, I can honestly say I cherished every play from the early 90's on.

The first Super Bowl against the Bills is still is one of my favorite games of all time, .. just because it had been soooooo long since we won a Super Bowl. (plus we kicked their butt doing it !!!)

Did anyone EVER think Romo was that good?

It's not fair to compare a guy who has only started one full season to an All-Pro, Hall of Famer like Aikman.

Like the guy said in the video, he was perhaps the most accurate passer in NFL History.

Romo may turn out to be a great great Cowboys QB, and still not be as good as Aikman.

And that's OK.

Irvin, "I love you man!"

Aikman, "I love you too, but you're still not getting my Bud Light."

Something else about this combo...they wound up with 49 TD connections but man they could have probably had 10-15 more cause it seemed like every time you turn around these two would hook up for a big play that would somehow wind up with Irvin being stopped inside the 5. I can remember several of their passes being stopped right at the 1 yard line and then Smith getting to come in and clean it up with a 1 yard run.

Such a great combo.
