Not a lot this week about the Boys and certainly nothing that qualifies as breaking news. But here are Troy's points that he just mentioned about our team!

They are playing good football and you can sense how their confidence is really growing.

They are sticking to their blueprint this year of being balanced. They've said in past years they would do it, but it always got away from them. Not only is DeMarco Murray leading the league in yards, but he is also leading in carries. And I believe they will stick with it this year.

A lot of people are saying how Dallas took an O-lineman in 3 out of 4 years...but more important than just taking them, the team hit on the right picks. They actually got all 3 picks right and that's the key thing.

I think San Fran hit on a bunch of OLine, but Dallas' picks are impressive on the OL, and couple those 3 with the UDFA in Leary who is playing very well, and a serviceable Free and you have something

Just think if we had drafted Warmack or Cooper last year rather than Frederick. Can't miss superstar Guards. Anyone notice Warmack when we played Tennessee? Cooper doesn't even start.

Would we still have drafted Zack Martin this year?
Would we be trying to draft a Center or still convincing ourselves Costa was the right guy?
Would we have extended ourselves more in free agency to fill the Center or Guard position?
Would we be depending on Brian Waters for another season?

If the 2013 draft had broken just a little bit differently, our line could very easily have been T Smith, R Leary, P Costa, C Warmack, D Free. Also no Terrence Williams since he came as the result of the Frederick deal.

The irony is this team for so long refused to invest high picks in OL and now 3 out 4 years they do and they have an extremely young and looks to be talented core with Smith, Martin, and Fred. I think the Leary and Free positions may end being the pieces that will get shuffled every couple of years

The 3 #1's do get all the attention..

But Leary and Free have also obviously upped their game, too.

And let's give Callahan a lot of credit for his work, too.

I mean, after his demotion from Playcaller last season and all the rumors he would leave the staff..

To his credit..

he has taken the challenge of coaching this OL and he should get more credit, too.

It's going to suck when it's time to pay these guys...hope they're the core of the line for years.

I am sure. This is NY Sports Radio and Dallas isn't what most want to hear discussed. A better comparison would be how much does Aikman talk about the Cowboys on WFAN compared to how much he discusses the Giants on Thursday mornings with the Musers. Every week on WFAN its more of an around the league segment for 15 minutes. Dallas gets brought up because they are in the Giants division and because of Troy's connection to the team.

But I don't disagree that you can get more info on your station of choice. If I am wasting bandwidth or people don't want me to list his weekly comments, I can certainly refrain.

Diminishing returns at this point? RT is not in my top 3 positions of upgrade need, all of which are on defense...

I agree that RT isn't the biggest need, but it is a need. I would say the positions we need the most assuming that certain players pan out would be:

Tier 1 needs
DE
NT

Tier 2 needs
RT

Tier 3 needs
FS
CB
