Aikman would win multiple superbowls in this era of football on the Cowboys

The "GREAT" OL that was horrible before Emmitt got there
Fans forget that Moose was our starting RB prior to Emmitt’s arrival in 90. Emmitt rushed for far more yardage than Moose did in 89. In 91 Emmitt won the rushing title. If it was all the offensive line’s performance wouldn’t Moose’s rushing numbers be comparable to Emmitt’s?

Emmitt’s vision and talent separated him from other running backs. Yes he did have a good offensive line but that same offensive line blocked for Curvin Richards, Derrick Lassic, Blair Thomas and Sherman Williams. None of them looked like Emmitt Smith. Yes Aikman had a good offensive line but his release, accuracy and ball protection was HOF worthy. We had a good offensive line but we also had HOF skill positions that made the offensive line look better and the offensive line made the HOFers look better, it was pure synergy.

Yeah but that's had more to do with the stupidity of the fans than their play. Emmitt was still a 1000 yard rusher well into his 30's and Troy didn't forget how to throw the ball in 2000. Go back and look at how he started 1999 before Mike got hurt. While I don't agree that Troy would have "won multiple Super Bowls" on these teams I don't think he would have fallen on his face either. Emmitt is the one who I think would absolutely feast in this modern era of football were half the guys on the defense are avoiding contact. But let's face it... if Emmitt played in this pass happy era he might only get 12-15 carries a game and we'd never know who he was..
Yeah, I’m not saying Aikman and Emmitt wouldn’t have been outstanding. I’m just saying that even these guys needed someone to block to be successful.

Zero All-Pro teams. Five of 12 seasons at .500 or below. Barely more touchdown passes (165) than interceptions (141). His approximate value on pro-football-reference ranks No. 167 overall, behind Warrick Dunn, Ricky Watters, Steve McMichael, Henry Ellard, Randall Cunningham, Boomer Esiason, Drew Bledsoe, London Fletcher, Dave Krieg, Donovan McNabb and so many other ridiculous names. Brad Johnson has more touchdown passes as does Jon Kitna, Chris Chandler and Jim Everett and, well, so many other ridiculous names. His passer rating is 49th in league history. He has three Super Bowls? Great. That's one more than Eli Manning. Aikman was a fine NFL quarterback. He was a very fine NFL quarterback. At points, he was a superb NFL quarterback. He was not a Hall of Fame quarterback.

2000s. 2010s. 2020s. It doesn’t matter which decade we’re talking about. Aikman goes on a dynasty run in any decade. He had the intangibles any good leader has. He is a true general and would have embarrassed Mahomes!!!!

Put him in his prime in any decade with the teams we had and you get the same results. Dynasty!
After our last Super Bowl in 1995, teams Aikman was on from 1996-2000 went 34-33 and were 1-3 in the playoffs.

What that shows is that even a Hall-of-Fame QB can't overcome the Jones factor.

Yeah, people forget, early on, Troy could be a mobile QB. He ran a 4.6, and could have been faster if he were lighter.
