Kinda sorta off topic but not.

Al Michales had a half dozen opportunities last night to show his supposed anti Cowboy bias. He never did.

In fact, he called both penalties on Adams as bad calls..on the second, he referenced the first as well by saying "And he also had a dubious call against him earlier in the game"

On what was a reviewalbe Cowboy fumble that both he and Madden agreed was a fumble, he didn't remotely harp on the fact that it was a bad call by the officials...in fact, they both mentioned it that one time, and never said another word about it.

So, can we please stop already with the persecution complex stuff?

:)

Michaels must've learned the word dubious recently, he's been overusing it every game this season. Same goes for Madden and the word onus.

Al Michaels: That was a dubious throw by Kerry Collins.
John Madden: Brett Favre has to be the onus of the Green Bay Packers. He's a playmaker.
Al Michaels: And a dubious defensive call there leads to a Randy Moss touchdown.
John Madden: Ole Brett, he loves to have the onus placed on him to win games.

Well then the onus is on Madden to tell Michaels that his use of the word dubious has placed an onus on him to let him know it's a dubious distinction to use the word so often. And vice versa. :)

Chief posted a thread ealier =) I went and copied it...Your in trouble now Jukie.

Chief

Al Michaels managed to work in the name of Jerry Rice while talking about the induction of Irvin, Aikman and Smith into the ROH.

Truly amazing.

Madden is using the word "Playmaker" entirely too much this year. I'm guessing he is just referencing his Madden NFL 06 game tho, since it does in fact have playmakers.

Thank you for making the effort. The Zone appreciates people who will go the extra step to get one of the moderators into a pissing match. ;) :)

Chief is like Elvis to me.

If he sez Michaels is a putz, then so be it.

He wasn't too bad last night, but he did let his man-crush for Jerry Rice shine through when he compared how Emmitt always stepped up his game on Monday nights just like Jerry always did.

It didn't bug me too much, but I thought it would have been nice on a night that was honoring the triplets, to leave other teams players out of the discussion.

Oh well, like I say, no big deal.

Losing the way we did, BIG DEAL!

I'm still sick over it.

I can't remember or am I trying to block out the whole game. Was the Terry Glenn play ruled incomplete? To me it looked like he caught it, cut up field, slipped, got hit while on the ground and the ball came out. That would make it down by contact.

I don't think Al Michaels has a bias against the Cowboys. I do think he latches on to some things that just don't make sense, but he will do that for any team.

Class acts don't get caught in ***** houses.

Don't lower the standards just because he is a good WR.

I do agree juke.

I have never really seen this so-called hatred of Dallas from Al and actually don't mind him as an announcer anywhere near as much as I do many of those other losers.

Madden has always loved Da Boys and has always thrown a compliment out there or two at random moments while seated next to Michaels so I feel like we have been given plenty of love from that duo, overall.

Thank you Juke. I'm so tired of hearing about the anti-Cowboy sentiment and conspiracy against us. It's grown old and tired.

Everytime a writer or commentator points out a Cowboys error, it's a conspiracy against us. Yet, when writers rave about us, we gush in pride. Pathetic.

Al and Madden called a good game. Impartial and neutral.

Let's stop this paranoia about the anti-Cowboys conspiracy.

No, they don't.

If you are a class act, you don't go to whorehouses, .. period. Let alone get caught there.

Tom Landry, Roger Staubauch, Walter Payton, Troy Aikman, Joe Montana, etc. ... these are class acts.

And there are many more.
