I've seen him on Broadway twice. Beyond great.

And yep, the Godfather role is legendary.

I remember seeing him in American Buffalo and when he comes down that
staircase, his voice just blasting,i just couldn't believe what i was
seeing, the entire theater was standing, screaming on our feet.He
completly blew the place away.

Great stuff.

I was fortunate enough to be sitting front row for "Chinese Coffee"...Pacino comes out, stands 3 feet away from where we were sitting...and all I could think was "HolyMoly, that's Al Pacino"

But the most amazing thing was that he was SO good, that within minutes I had forgotten it was Al Pacino because I was so engrossed in his role.

man, i love my cowboyszone family even more now.. i had no idea you guys had so much love for Pacino as well.. very nice.. good taste, men.. i agree about The Godfather role-- best acting ive ever seen.. and Thumper, yes, actually that Scent of a Woman speech is my personal favorite all-time movie speech..

Yep...quite a broad range of interests here. :) Winicki is into knitting and making floral arrangements.

For me, Dog Day Afternoon was "it" as far as acting (after The Godfather, that is) because Pacino basically WAS that entire movie.

I love the image of him screaming "Attica, Attica" at the crowd and becoming a kind of cult hero to them.
