Does this guy exist? I haven't heard one thing (good or bad) about him said by Parcells, JJT, Jen Jen, Mickaroo, or anyone. Come to think of it, that's how he is on the field too. Will he make the team?

Did Nors put you up to this? :p:

That's a good question actually...I think he will be on the bubble, having Thornton, Ware, Ogbogu, and Burnett manning the OLB's.

It would be nice if we were deep enough to not need Al Singleton ...

Most sensical post on the subject I have seen. Perhaps next season we will have that luxury.

Yes - but while you perceived it to mean depth wise, he was quite obviously talking about weight, and Singleton, who has played his entire career at 228 lbs (regardless of what Ourlads says) is undersized, and not a playmaker. Even though he and Burnett are virtually the same size....

Oh, and experience is rubbish. We have playmakers now, and since we are cap strapped, we can't afford 2 million dollars for an undersized LB who makes no plays....even though Dat will be OK.

Yes parcells said he was a little thin at LB. Appeared to be a pot sot at Als.

He also carries a $2M cap hit on his back.

Appeared to who? and how.

Here's a perfect example of utter nonsense.

I don't think we can get rid of Al Singleton, but this will be his last year in Dallas if Burnett takes over starting at LOLB at some point, hopefully early on. I would think Shanle would be able to back up Burnett, since he backed up Singleton at LOLB last year, but maybe he's playing in the middle now. The fact is, we need at least 2 more linebackers now than we did a year ago, in terms of depth, and we don't need the cap money badly enough to release Singleton.

I'll have to trade all my "trade Coakley for newly released player X" posts with "trade SINGLETON for newly released player X" posts now and next offseason.

Does Keyshawn Johnson exist, I haven't heard a thing about him all training camp. Its like the guy isn't even there.
