He got too many chances. But I would not touch him. I think he was a touch overrated and fed a lot of off what Justin Smith did to free him up.

Hey.. I just want to be entertained and it wouldn't be like he is one of our team leaders so it wouldn't hurt my feelings if he was rushing the passer for us.
With that said... I think he gets suspended for a year and I don't think any team is going to pick him up and be responsible for him with a year of not playing football.

I really don't know if I want to touch this guy. Dez was immature but not a criminal. Hardy had a criminal case pending but it wasn't clear if he was guilty and he had a very good reputation around the league as a great teammate. Dez has already proven everyone wrong and I have a good feeling about Hardy. Jury's still out on McClain though. He may turn out to be one of those guys that just can't be helped. And I have a feeling Aldon Smith is even worse.

This guy should be in a rehab facility for the rest of the year. After that, at least a 30 day stay in jail. He's damn lucky he didn't kill someone.

He'll get another chance from some team because of his talent, and he'll come relatively cheap with all of his baggage, but I wouldn't touch the guy with a 10 foot pole. And this is coming from someone who has had an alcohol problem in his life.

I can't remember if CA has a lower charge of DWAI ( Driving while ability impaired) or not but it doesn't look good. I think Goodel will suspended for a year. I think if we can't sign Hardy or he doesn't work, I am all for looking into signing Smith. He is only 25 years old and Jones loves to give guys second chances. Hopefully he can change his life around.

Baalke(49ers GM) stated that Smith refused to own up to the actions that led to his arrest.

I can't remember if the NFL puts you in the drug program with too many alcohol related incidents. I know when you are in the drug program in the NFL alcohol is prohibited.
