Alfred Morris

We have four NFL quality RBs on the roster in Zeke, Rod, Bo, and Tavon. I think if Bo were to get injured again, Zeke to get suspended again, or Austin were to get cut. We would reach out to Morris first. Right now there's not enough room for a RB who will be paid more than the minimum and doesnt contribute on special teams.

Darius the Great has returned too! Don't need no Mo.

Rod is just better as the backup. More well rounded. Core special teamer - 62% of snaps.

Sporles worked, Linehan should be able to make Tavon work. I still like that trade.

Don't understand why Cowboys show no interest in resigning him. He was more than adequate as Zeke's backup. Averaged more yards per carry than Zeke. Good dependable team player.
I seriously doubt if he's a team player. There's definitely something amiss w/ him. Why would you say he's a team player?

The "2nd RB" may be Tavon Austin.
That's a good point. Tavon is the everyday #2. Rod is the "in case Zeke gets injured" #2.

I like that Zeke can stay on the field as a decoy while Tavon runs the ball. Less wear and tear, but still has to be accounted for my the defense.

I wish they'd turn Bo into a FB for similar reasons. Maybe next year.

If I was interested in any available RB it would be Murray.

Maybe they don't want him because he sucks and can't play anymore? Too many people just look at the stats and not how he played. He was abysmal last year.

I don't understand why 32 teams have no interest in Morris. Seems like a team guy, good in the locker room and he ran the ball pretty well last year when Zeke went down. The curious career of Alfred Morris

Well it could be because he can't play worth a ****. I'm just spit balling here.

He was good on the 10 snaps per year that he was healthy.

Seriously, Dunbar was a good player to have on the team if he could have stayed healthy. Every time they started working him into a bigger role, he got injured again.

Dunbar had one really strong game filling in as the primary back right before he got hurt. He was like lightning in a bottle. But you can't run lightning in a bottle into the line repeatedly and expect it to last very long.

I think you guys are placing too much emphasis on the fact that he still drives a $500 car and not enough emphasis on the fact that he sucks as a player.

Lance Dunbar sucked. Rod Smith sucks. Tavon Austin sucks. This is a nonsensical role on offense that merely takes your best player off the field.

I'm only interested in who starts if Zeke can't go? Rod Smith in that role would be like having Troy Hambrick starting again. He's a roster filler on a bad team. Morris is a much, much better option.

Hopefully Bo can fill that role and hopefully it's not needed.

Morris is not an acceptable substitute for anything. You have some valid points otherwise.

Morris sucking sort of highlights just how bad Zeke was last year. Zeke better kick it into gear and not let his sorry back up perform better.

Special Teams is 100% the reason you don't bring him back

Morris averaged more per carry than Zeke during the suspension. Smith has never had to be the man. What if Zeke screws up or gets hurt again? Is Smith really up to the task?

Essentially replacing Morris with Austin, a guy with no true position. He's the new Lucky Whitehead.

Zeke was bad last year? The first games yes. The guy was a stud from week 3 on untilhis suspension

Morris had a couple long runs(I didn't count them) through gaping holes that the OL created that made his stats look better than they actually were. I wouldn't say abysmal, but he wasn't all that good last year.
