- 80 percent of pressures coming from A and B gap
- Remaining pressures he is lined up on the edge as a 5th rusher
- Very successful putting him at WOLB and having him rush behind the DE
- 29 percent pressure rate! Fred Warners best year was 32%

These are some ways Flus can have him successful day 1. Let’s not forget his first game back from injury was 11 tackles and 1 sack.

The guy is a beast.

Definetly, and you can see Zimmer had a plan for him from Day 1. Sure he's in coverage some, but he's mainly effective blitzing at the LOS and moving him around as a chess piece like we did Micah.

Regarding him being a one-trick pony - he was only pass rushing 30 percent of the time so the other 60 percent was on run downs again, going towards the LOS filling his gap. Maybe he isn't the best cover LB but that's why we traded for Logan Wilson.

If the board looks this up, he is leading in INT from the last 5 years only behind Tremaine Edmunds. From what I can remember Edmunds had an INT against us and another this season - so he's racked up to 1st place from another good year while Wilson was "benched". Logan Wilson isn't that old either guy is 29 with 5 years experience so he came out of school extremely late in the 2020 draft - also picked in the 3rd round. Overshown is 25, but hasn't even garnered a years worth of experience in his 3 year career.

I noticed he was very explosive at pass rushing….he didn’t do it a ton, but when he did he looked like Micah with how quick he got back there and how he could get the right angles and finish. And as a LB we was sideline to sideline with GREAT closing speed. Absolute studs that jumped off the screen. Reminded me of when I was first watching football early 90s…cowboys got Haley and he was ALWAYS around the ball, super noticeable the impact. Overshown felt like that last year.

when you circle him out and see him going forward he is absolutely a stud.

one thing I need to mention though is in this film session because of the threat Micah has on the field - there are numerous times he's able to go between the tackles because there is so much pressure with the RB/TE or a double block on the edge.

we'll have to see if he can re-create that pressure with the JAG's we have now which is a real concern.

Glass - a hard, brittle substance, typically transparent or translucent, made by fusing sand with soda, lime, small frames, and sometimes other ingredients and cooling rapidly. It is used to make windows, drinking containers, short seasons, and other articles.

We have hurricane proof glass here in Florida. Hope Overshown is reinforced with the same.

Overshowns's previous closing speed had the Micah factor. Opposing QB's and running backs undercalculated his rate of speed. If D.O.'s closing speed has returned, we fans should finally have some joy from a true impact player.

I remember a play where he actually beat Parsons to the QB. It was pretty surprising because MP has ridiculous closing speed.

That’s one of Overshown traits that stood out, closing speed…..saw it early against Cleveland chasing down Watson, the way he could split blockers and shoot through for TFLs….his instincts and speed were crazy last year. Hopefully he got that back the way Adrian Peterson did after he blew his knee out.

This isn't flus motto though. That is what sucks. Flus teaches a very conservative approach.

I saw it at Texas. He doesn't clock super fast. But man is he fast closing on the ball.

I have high hopes. I was watching that game last night with Nakobe Dean who just came back from a serious knee injury last year, and that guys taking over games. The Eagles have a markedly improved defense with that guy making plays all over the field last night.

He's got speed and good instincts but those dam skinny legs are going to continue being a problem.
