If the Cowboys reach the SB this season they'll be the first Cowboys team to ever reach the SB after losing it's regular season finale. Our history points to how important it's been to end the regular season on a winning note entering the playoffs if we're going to reach the SB. Our 1994 team was a great team but lost it's season finale and ended up losing in the NFC title game.

I like to see that stat for all Superbowl teams. 8 just seems rather small sample size to be concerned about it. Considering we played a backup qb for most of the game.

It's a pretty large sample size for our franchise and it's been consistent despite 25 years since our first SB appearance and our last SB appearance. It doesn't matter what other teams have done, our history shows how important ending our regular seasons on a positive note has been to us reaching the SB.

I would not bet on Dallas winning the Super Bowl. So I'll just pull for them to do just that and not bet at all.
Just do it:flagwave:

Our 1976 team that went 11-3 lost to the Commanders 27-14 in the regular season finale, which led to us getting knocked off in the playoffs the following week to the Rams. We haven't done real well in the playoffs over the years after dropping our regular season finale.

What about betting 10k Dallas does not win the SB, so if we win, you lose the bet and 10k but have a lifetime to cherish victory. If we lose 10k richer.

This team is still in its infancy.

Not the same thing.

Say what you will but it clearly shows that finishing the regular season strong and have momentum entering the playoffs makes a huge difference in the playoffs, at least for this franchise it has.

It's a little sad that there are more negative threads than there is positive ones at this point and especially after last year. I just don't get it.

It's not being negative, it's an interesting stat. It doesn't mean we can't get it done this season but our SB history has shown how important it is to end the regular season on a winning note.

Not a single one is of those eight teams rested Sean lee, Zeke Elliot, or played mark Sanchez in their final game

Those teams chose not to mail it in and entered the playoffs on a positive note. The 76 team mailed it in mentally in the season finale, Staubach had one of his worst games ever completing only 5-22 and 2 of his his throws were picked off. He finished with a 22.7 passer rating and that game carried over to the playoffs.
