Green Bay and Kansas City are better run then us right now, no question.

Detroit is basically just like us.

Chicago very similar to us also. Good offense terrible defense.

I don't know..that GB team without Rodgers looks outright awful to me. I've been surprised how weak they are across the board without the AllPro QB.

Have to be fair though, they lost their backup qb also.

I think with Wallace they beat ny and Minnesota. Being on your 3rd or 4th qb like they are is to much to ask.

I thought good coaches don't lose big games in week 12? What happened to all the teams I mentioned? Because they clearly have superior coaching? Right?

I dont think Detroit and Chicago have any better of a head coach. In fact, Schwartz is a guy I cant stand. I think he is a punk and his teams are always undisciplined. The new guy in Chicago has a lot to prove. Green Bay...ehh. McCarthy has a super bowl but hasnt done much without his franchise QB. Chiefs defense had a tough day- it happens and they are allowed a dud. I dont think it takes anything away from the job Andy Reid is doing there. JMO.

Who said this? Not me.

2 of the teams you mentioned are without their starting qb. Would we have beat the giants with Orton?

Anybody can beat anybody on any given Sunday. Especially on the road teams are more susceptible.

But yes, in my opinion, mike McCarthy and Andy Reid are much better coaches.

You know I'm tongue in cheek with this stuff. I just find our fan base humorous sometimes.

lol... you guys need to get your stories straight. When we lose against teams "we should beat" its all about coaching. When it happens to others there are "reasons". And for the record, the last time our head coach was without our starting QB I believe he had a winning record.

Yeah, that's true. They're better than we are with their starting QB, that's for sure.

I do think it is fair to say, though, that when Flynn came in, they had a legitimate backup QB. The guy got paid big dollars by two teams that though he could be their starter.

Just thought I would give an update on all the teams that have it better than us. You know, better coaches and all...

Detroit - fighting for division lead and playoff spot - lose at home to Tampa Bay (3-8)
Is that the former winless Bucs?
Green Bay - fighting for playoff spot - tie at home vs. Vikings (2-8-1)
Happily the Cowboys have a 2nd stringer that could keep the ship afloat
Chicago - fighting for playoff spot - lose on the road to the Rams (5-6)
Lose? They were punched in the mouth.
Kansas City - Looking to stay in the hunt for the #1 seed in the AFC - lose at home vs. Chargers (5-6)
Could KC go on a 7 game skid?

I'm a Dallas Cowboys Fan...I like my teams chances

Who is "you guys"?? Don't try to lump me into some category.

When we lose to teams we are clearly better than, who else's fault would it be besides coaching? It the coaches job to maximize potential. Not under achieve.

Not having your starting qb is a pretty good "reason." See I can put stuff in "quotes" too.

I think missing the people we are missing, specifically the best MLB in football and the QB of our defense is a pretty good "reason" too, if you are looking for one. And unless you make the same excuses for us as you make for others, you ARE one of "those guys." Notice the quotes..

I am one of "those guys" that's tired of the 8-8 seasons. I want to see this team be a legit contender, JG hasn't shown the ability to be anything more than a .500 coach IMO. OTOH, If JG can turn this thing around and have some success in the playoffs, then him staying would be justified.

I'm with you both in your frustration and in your desires. I just honestly believe that we have an impatient fan base that has a hard time seeing that this is actually a rebuilding project while we stay competitive. I like his approach and I think we will all be pleased before he is finished here.

Noticed Garrett adapted--moved Dez in and around to get him open---its what good coaches do game to game

I noticed that Garrett adapted . It took him three quarters of the season to adapt when it would have taken most high school coaches only a game or two.

Having won today, we are better than the Broncos, who just lost in OT to the Pats. Mensa project.

What is the point of this thread? Has anyone around here gone around claiming Chicago and Detroit have better coaches than us or is the OP just creating this argument out of thin air? What an odd couple of teams to compare us to. Are people really going around pining for Marc Trestman so much that this thread was warranted, or is the OP just arguing against a straw man because he's so eager to trumpet Garrett after his first decent win in God knows how long?

More importantly, did our win tonight look like a brilliant performance by Jason? A performance that you'd want to brag about?

I knew you boys would reclaim your courage. It always takes a few hours for the wins to wear off.
