Tampa Bay beat Detroit. Detroit team we couldn't finish off. So I guess that means we are not as good as TB.

We barely beat the Vikings. It took a great last minute drive by Romo to win at home. GB played them with their backup QBs. Can't say we beat them with Orton.

We got beat by both KC and SD so I'm not sure what was the point in posting about those two teams compare to us.

I'm with you both in your frustration and in your desires. I just honestly believe that we have an impatient fan base that has a hard time seeing that this is actually a rebuilding project while we stay competitive. I like his approach and I think we will all be pleased before he is finished here.

its not n impatient fan base, I think most would be fine with rebuilding if Jerry wasnt signing 100m and 50m contracts and actually let the team rebuild. Were getting mixed signals here.

I knew you boys would reclaim your courage. It always takes a few hours for the wins to wear off.

Your delusional single night coaching comparisons have little or nothing to do with being happy to escape with a win that shouldn't have even been close. It's actually really funny that you started this thread.

"A win that shouldn't have been close." A division game, on the road, they had won 4 in a row. Who is delusional? You guy's hatred is so strong you are a thoroughly blinded bunch. :) Enjoy!

I delight in our winning causing you misery. Hope it continues :)

I'm sure that you are very delightful, you seem smiley and effervescent. Your premise that today's victory means that Jason is a better coach than Andy or Mike is comical, and had you watched tonight's Cowboys' game you would have understood that it didn't need to end up as close as it was.

And if you actually watched the NFL, you'd know that no road victory is easy.

I'll never understand why fans equate "rebuilding" to "blowing everything up." When you have a franchise QB, you never have to blow things up. "Rebuilding" simply means the process of replacing one aging corps group of plays with another, and we have been doing that.

Maybe because blowing it up is a better way of rebuilding in certain situations.

Straw man argument to avoid initial premise of the thread, which was was that Jason was superior to the likes of Superbowl winning coaches Mike McCarthy and Andy Reid because they happened to lose a game ..... on the same day that.... he won a game. Road games are statistically harder to win, especially for the Cowboys recently I don't think that anybody is debating NFL history here. Watching the 2nd half, it didn't seem like Jason was calling a great game on offense after the initial score in the 3rd quarter, which is a different argument than "road victories aren't easy."

Reid never won a Superbowl. And I didn't read the OP to say that Reid and McCarthy are lesser coaches than JG. The OP was simply illustrating the league's parity, and pointing out that we shouldn't flip out over one loss.

I don't know how coherent it was, but it sure did seem like a "for all of you that thought other teams had better coaches than us" call out thread..

Just thought I would give an update on all the teams that have it better than us. You know, better coaches and all...

Detroit - fighting for division lead and playoff spot - lose at home to Tampa Bay (3-8)
Green Bay - fighting for playoff spot - tie at home vs. Vikings (2-8-1)
Chicago - fighting for playoff spot - lose on the road to the Rams (5-6)
Kansas City - Looking to stay in the hunt for the #1 seed in the AFC - lose at home vs. Chargers (5-6)

I thought good coaches don't lose big games in week 12? What happened to all the teams I mentioned? Because they clearly have superior coaching? Right?

In certain situations, yes. But never when you have a franchise quarterback.

When the QB is over age thirty, it is time to blow it up. There is not enough time to rebuild around a QB at that age.

Impatient, really? It has been many years since the Cowboys made any noise in the playoffs. I don't see how they have maintained this large of a fanbase.

It is posts like this that truly highlight how blind our homers really are

No one ever said that Detroit has a good HC
GB was playing without their starting QB and tied, you don't really believe we would have beaten the giants without romo do you?
KC is fighting for the no 1seed, not to make the playoffs

Just enjoy the win and stop with ridiculous posts

By the same token I will never understand why some posters think it takes 3 years to rebuild with a franchise QB when you are not having to blow it up

Yeah, no. QB is one the position you hang on to after thirty. It's just way too difficult to find franchise QBs.

Well, technically speaking, we should be exiting our "rebuilding" phase, and in a lot of respects we have in the sense that our "core" is becoming younger guys like Dez, Lee, and Smith.
