All the Dexter Coakley jokes have made me think about this, because Dexter was a terrific football player. But we've had several non-ROH, non-HOF players that I've enjoyed watching over the years so here's a team I threw together... how do you think this team would fare? These are players I've seen play so I can't speak to the Lance Rentzel's of the world. Of course this is not a full roster, so help me fill it in!

QB1- Danny White, QB2- Drew Bledsoe
RB1- Marion Barber III, RB2- Walt Garrison
FB- Robert Newhouse
3rd Down RB- Preston Pearson
TE1-Doug Cosbie. TE-2
WR1- Terrell Owens
WR2- Tony Hill
WR3- Terry Glenn
WR4- Butch Johnson
LT- Flozell Adams
G-John Gesek
C- Tom Rafferty
G-Kevin Gogan
RT- Pat Donovan

Defense:

DE-Jim Jeffcoat
DT-La'Roi Glover
DT-Leon Lett
DE- Tony Tolbert
MLB- Dat Nguyen, MLB2- Randall Godfrey
OLB-Dexter Coakley ,OLB2-Vinson Smith
WLB- Bruce Carter, WLB2- Darrin Smith
CB1-Dennis Thurman
CB2-Kevin Smith
CB3-Orlando Scandrick
SS- Roy Williams
FS- Michael Downs

P-Mike Saxon
K-Chris Boniol

I think Kelvin Martin, Danny Noonan, Eugene Lockhart, Bob Bruenig, Dixon Edwards, Mark Tuinei and Matt Vanderbeek (the scariest guy I have ever seen cover kicks....)

I think Flozell was underrated. Owens is probably underrated in terms of his Cowboys years of service by its fanbase, but I should have removed his name from the list.

lol is that good or bad? I know I'm missing people. and I should change TO because he isn't underrated- I was thinking more of "forgotten Cowboys greats"

Maybe switch TO with Alvin Harper? I always thought Harper was constantly in the shadow of Irvin, but Harper showed up in a good way in some huge games.

Nice list. Dixon Edwards and K-mart were great. Tuinei too, but I didn't want the whole 90's O-Line. Lockhart in his early years was awesome. Vanderbeek I get confused with Jim Schwantz lol

Harper was awesome but I wanted a 70's, 80's mix- I don't think Alvin was around long enough to warrant a spot on this squad, but I know I've made similar mistakes in my own list that someone will point out lol

I remember many games in the 90's where Madden and Summerall would talk about how intimidating and scary the Dallas special teams units were. Bill Bates and Kenny Gant were also some serious head hunters on that squad. MV was huge and pretty fast - used to destroy guys on kick coverage.

Another guy - even though he is a kicker, but was money - Chris Boniol.

As much as the guy drives me crazy from time to time, I feel like Romo should be on the list.

He was the first WR I thought of on my own list. He was such a big play guy... that era's Mike Williams
My bad.....the Washington game in 83 when they came back from 20 something down on MNF he was amazing in that.
