All You Need Is Love

no need for love.

Patriots had highest scoring offense EVER. and they lost in the superbowl to a better defensive team.
go defense every pick. hit on half of them. you already would have makings of a middle of a pack defense.
To say there is no need is a stretch. They absolutely could be more explosive at TB. It's why it will be interesting to see if Blue can develop. You can argue if we had Love or someone with that kind of ability in that first Eagles game, we win that game.

That being said, if they don't address defense in FA with some high quality players, you can't justify a RB in Round 1. If they actually spend some money in FA and bring in some real talent on defense in FA, then maybe you can be a bit more flexible to BPA.

Honestly, a lot could also depend on Pickens. If they decide not to tag him (or tag and trade) and he walks, they may realize they lost some explosiveness on offense and while there isn't a WR in that upper class they can snag, if Love is setting there at 12, they may convince themselves he's too good to pass up given their lack of explosiveness other than Lamb.

we can be better in every position, but to what end. like I said, the highest scoring offense ever. the patriots. they went 18-0, demolishing everyone along the way and they lost in the superbowl to a better defense. you build defense first. we averaged almost 28 points a game. gave up 30....we need to reduce that number significantly. we allowed almost 60% 3rd down conversion. reduce that to 40% and the offense gets more chances to score in better field position.

I think if we resign pickens, just resign Williams or Breece Hall (this year is deep in RB FAs) and focus the draft on defense. just take defensive players with every pick. hit on half of them and we should be a lot better. and a new defensive coordinator. that should make us middle of the pack type defense.

What running back room? All we have at this point is Blue and Mafah.
The RB FA class is strong and deep this year. As for the draft, I’d like Love, but I’d love defensive reinforcements instead.

Please read your post. You are using a team that went 16-0, won their division and won their conference championship something the Arlington Jonesboys have not done in 30 years.

I know that offense scores and defense wins championships. The more your defense stays off the field the more opportunities the offense can score and the defense can dominate. Tom Landry and Jimmy Johnson passed to score and ran to win on offense. Then the defense won championships.
