I think Allen made the right choice

On top of he made alot more money in the NBA then he would have in the NFL

I'm from Newport News and heard about Bubba Chuck since 1987. Iverson also played Baseball as a kid too. As far as him being a better football player than Basketball I'll say it was about even IMO . His biggest rival in football was Aaron Brooks the former qb for the Saints.

Iverson was the best I've seen in the area but some say Ronald Curry was a better football player than Iverson was and Curry's biggest rival was Mike Vick who clearly took a backseat to Curry back then. It was amazing seeing how much Vick just took off once he went to Va Tech.

That's a name I've not heard in a long time.

But that's a really dumb comment to say a cuter Hall of Fame NBA player was really way better at football. Can't stand that kind of exaggeration.

He was flat out the best high school football player I ever saw. Vick and Ronald Curry came out of the same district right after him and I don't know of a single person who didn't think Iverson was better by a good measure.

As a Tar Heel I love Curry but Iverson was at another level. Plus Curry's Hampton team was stacked beyond belief. Bubba's Bethel squads were not even in the same conversation talent wise.

Made for TV comments..sound bytes. But I liked Iverson as a player. Funny..back in February I walked into a pawn shop and saw one of his game jersey for sale and they wanted $50 for it and I offered them $10 and they took it. I was happy to have it and wore it to the gym.
