Basically if gb doesn't touch him is it then a fumble and recovery bc ground can't cause a fumble?

Doesn't matter as the fact that the NFL stated is that Dez didn't catch the ball to begin with.

So he's penalized for extra steps then? Like bc haven't we seen less be accepted as a catch? Like a guy makes a catch and quickly throws the ball to the ref ? While never leaving the ground or anything. Bc the lunge dez made was only possible bc he had so much insane body control after the catch. Lesser wr's just jump an fall upon landing. The fumble happened after a completed catch and as a runner

Saw elsewhere that Shields legs do cause him to start stumbling.

Regardless, he clearly plants and extends after having the ball in his hands. Watch the replay, you will see the turf fly up then....

Should have been at best down by contact, or fumbled , recovered in end zone by Dez for possible TD. That's why he also was signaling TD on the sidelines
