Should the alternate uniform used in the Houston game be the new standard?

I like it as a once in a while type thing. Not every game. They look like something in the 20's

I used to hate the Cowboys home whites because they're so boring but now, I love them.. I like the way Julius and Witten wear their blue socks in daboys' sig in the post above me.. to me the way they wear their unis with the solid blue socks and tight jersey sleeves as opposed to loose and hanging looks extremely cool

Call me old and call me conservative, but you cant change the traditional uni's. Use the new ones for Pre-season, Maybe Thanksgiving or special occasions like ROH inductee games. But most every sunday run out the old Silver and Blue we all know and love.

Jerry has gone too far this time.
The Cowboy national publicity garnered by the uniforms, and the white jerseys 90% of the time, and the hole in the roof and Tom Landry's stoic demeaner.

The uniform (with only a slight silver tint change) a symbol of Dallas dominance from the time of the uniform adoption thru the mid-80s and then again 1991-95.

These uniforms are not just bad styling they are bad marketing. One of the most recognizable trademarks in the NFL is being destroyed.

I love our unis, and helmet just the way they are for our standard. I really like the ones the 'Boys wore Saturday too, but as an alternate.

I read today on another forum that we will be using these alternative unis on the MNF game against Washington...can anyone confirm this?

I can confirm that it was in the Dallas Morning News.

Jerry must be stopped here.

This is all about selling more jerseys to people who are more interested in being different than in honoring the memories of Staubach and Pearson and Lilly and White and Troy and Michael and Emmitt.

And will the 18 people who voted for choice 1 please answer any of my sig questions or eliminate youself from voting for messing with my team?

I like the alt's helmet. Nice and sharp. Not too busy. (Not that our other one isn't)

I have no problem if we use those unis 2 or 3 times a season (but not more then that).

People say it's messing with tradition using those unis... HELLO, those were our FIRST UNIS. Those alternate Unis ARE tradition.

Instead of calling them "Alternate" unis, call them throwback unis. It might make you feel better.

And understand, People, that JJ is a business man. Example: If he can get a few thousand people that already have a regular Roy WIlliams jersey to buy a throwback Roy Williams jersey then he's made twice as much money. Plus, it's not like the jersey isn't part of tradition. Again, they're throwback unis from the 60s.

Agreed with everything. I really, really like these unis, and thought a lot about it, because my gut says that it would make a nice normal uni. But I think I would miss the current one. As an Alt for 2-3 games a season, I think they are sharp.

I honestly don't like the all white.

You don't mess with tradition.

If we do alternate unis I like the TC jerseys that Otero1 has in his sig pic, much better.

Exactly Rack, I was wondering if anyone would point that out. These are copies of our uniforms from 1962... So the uniforms everyone gets so bent 'protecting' are merely changes to the uniform you saw against the Texans. But I guess it's only tradition if it's YOUR tradition...

Without a doubt, Id wear em every home game. Go back to the 94' double star for away games.

Very sharp!
