Yes of course coaching matters. It’s incredibly important. No surprise the franchise that places zero importance on coaching has 0 conf champ game appearances in what’s soon to be 27 years

Look at teams like the giants and Vikings that hired new coaches and they look like different teams.
The Vikings are absolutely buzzing with their new 3-4 DEF. They needed a change and it's working so far.

Z.Smith was causing a lot of problems...

Can't say it enough...Dallas' main issues are the GM and EVP. They set the culture. They also empower or undermine the coach whenever they please.

....McCarthy appears disinterested on sidelines. Going through the motions.

Moore is left over from the Garrett regime, has to go. McCarthy went from Rodgers to Dak, he's sick

The Cowboys went 10 - 6 and made the playoffs with Quincy Carter as the starting QB and a team devoid of talent. The Coaching staff was HC: Bill Parcells, OC: Sean Payton, and DC: Mike Zimmer. Last year's team was 3 times more talented and lost in the same round of the playoffs.

DQ could not generate any pressure from any player not named Micah Parsons.

I still SMH at all the posters who insisted that Dallas did not need Von Miller or even Randy Gregory.

Micah was held, chipped and even triple teamed all night because no other threat in front 7.

And let's not even talk about the 130 yards given up on the ground.

Both are awesome. Would love to have Minnesota HC. He played under Bellichek and Brady. Guy has been around winning football , from top all the way down. We do not

To be fair to McCarthy, the front office did nothing at all to give him the best opportunity to prove himself. If they were going to give him one more season, they could have at least made an effort to improve the team in the offseason. But instead they made it worse and will use McCarthy as one of their main scapegoats, when the 2022 seasons fails.

McCarthy hired Nolan and Philiban to be on his staff. Those two alone are reasons to be fired. The fact that Moore is still on the staff and allowed to call plays is also a problem. Why on earth would you have any of them on your staff? I know Moore is JJ’s pet so that may explain him. But still they need to clean house. Everyone except for Quinn.

The Vikings and Giants have brand new General Managers that conducted a thorough coaching search and hired their top candidate. The coach is held accountable by the General Manager and the General Manager is held accountable by ownership.

That will never happen here.
That's why we ain't winning squat.
