Am I crazy or does something seem a little different about this team?

I've seen several before and after game cheers and this one struck me as a little different. It seemed more passionate, genuine and heart felt, as if this team is really bonding and excited, not just for the win but for each other.

I noticed the same thing when they all jumped on top of Austin in the OT win vs KC. This didn't strike me as a team just excited about an overtime win but also truly excited for their fellow team mate that made a big play.

It's still VERY early in the season, but I hope this vibe continues

I don't think there's anything different with this team. I think how you feel about the team is different.

We are on a two game winning streak. Everything appears better. Food tastes better. Beer goes down smoother. Jokes are funnier. My kids screaming and yelling is like music to my ears. I told my wife she looks prettier when the Cowboys win. The universe is at peace.

I've yet to hear a player come out and say its someone else's fault for them sucking.

Big difference from previous years where Roy Williams SS and TO would constantly look for someone else to be at fault.

The guys on the Michael Irvin show been talking about it for a couple days now. Nate and the other guys said the difference in the team this week has been very noticeable out at the ranch. They're not running from the media, they look relaxed and confident. Hope they are right and it continues.

I still haven't decided how I feel about this team, but they have given me a little hope back. If they can continue to play hard with passion, that'll make me happy.

I searched youtube, but couldn't find the videos that come to mind. If anyone can find the ones where Wade gives his post game speeches and the players respond with a resounding thud or before games where Romo or Greg Ellis did the pregame chant, I think you'll see what I mean.

I may be nuts, but I see a different level of passion and intensity. It may not make a damn bit of difference in the scheme of things, but it sure looks different to me and I hope this is evidence of a deeper, more positive change.

I think the one thing I notice about this team is that they don't think they can just show up against a lot of the teams and that they will roll over for them.

Stark contrast from last year where the sentiment was 'they're the Rams, dude' to guys on the team talking about how they have to be focused and play well to beat the Chiefs.

Sure, they played pretty lousy against Kansas City, but I don't think it was because they overlooked the Chiefs and if they had, I think they would've lost that game instead of pulling out the victory.

Another thing I notice is that there is a LOT MORE pride in the play of the special teams units. They seem to want to dominate special teams which is always a great way to fire up the team. In the past, it seemed like we wanted to be good in returns and make field goals, but coverage units were more like a nuisance. Now it's something where we want to tackle and give the opponent poor field position and perhaps make a play.

players like brooking & columbo are the difference (don't overlook decamillis, either)...passion: it's infectious...

too bad we didn't have brooking in 2007...it might have made the difference (ref. a man named irvin)....think i'm oversimplifying? go back & watch what irvin did on the sidelines (let alone the field). he wasn't called the heart & soul of that team for warm & fuzzy reasons...

This team is showing signs of unity and increased confidence each week. There's something to be said for that.

To contrast, the teams of '07 and '08 were arrogant to the point of disdain for accountability and it eroded to selfishness in some individuals. Some would argue "well they were confident then too".

I believe it was all smoke and mirrors beginning towards the end of '07 and carried through all of '08.

This team is humble and looking forward to playing winning football without it being a forgeone conclusion that they "should" win while masking internal fears of failure like they did in '08.

This team plays and acts, in the words of Keith Brooking- "desperate to win". There's a difference.

Disagree. The played like crap against the chiefs they either were not ready or did not care, you don't play that bad just because you are having an off day. Last weeks win was great and it just showed how poor we played the week before and how there is no legitimate excuse for sucking that bad. So, show up for the Seattle game and the Philli game and I'll might believe this.

Was that Brooking leading the chant? He really has stepped right in as a team leader. I'm so glad the Falcons cut him.

I have noticed a change. Barber has always been intense, but it is great to see the same kind of intensity from Brooking. And you can see players celebrating more as a group then as individuals. Like after Newman and Jenkins had those big hits. The other DBs were celebrating with them. Same with the LBs after a sack. I also think that Austin's passion and joy for the game is bringing that back out of Romo. It reminds me of late 2006, early 2007 Romo where he was having fun. And not to bash on TO, but I think that situation was what wore on him in 2008. There was nothing anyone could do that would stop the media from hounding everyone with TO questions. If TO had a bad game, why did he have a bad game? If he had a good game, did you focus on getting him the ball? This team, I believe, is coming together for one team goal, instead of their own.
