I really like what I started to see from the defense. Even In games we got blown out in (eagles and giants) it wasnt the Defense's fault. From the Tampa Bay game on, the defense played pretty well. If we get some decent saftey play, we could be a very good d.

I think with the weapons we have (yes, i still think romo, TO, and Williams are weapons) along with witten, martellus, austin, and dare I say Felix. I feel that OC is the way to go. I have seen this offense perform without felix, martellus, and RW11, but we have not seen this type of pressure from the defense, and they should only get better.

New headcoach more than likely means different approach and different schemes on both sides of the ball, when the scheme on D is working, and the offense could work with the tools we have if it is tweaked.

I know alot of people hate TO and Romo right now, but they are the most prolific duo since Romo became a starter. Both have alluded to the game plan as the problem, and there was never any tension spoken of, assumed, or leaked until the offense wasnt working correctlly.

We were 13-3 last year, and 9-7 (with out injuries probably 11 and 5) this year. Wade has been put in the position where he is HC in title but has no say so on the offense to overrule. The D has gotten better but the offense has gotten worse. I think Wade deserves another year.

Absolutely not, you're not the only one. I definitely want him back. But I'd prefer he was able to hire his own offensive coordinator.

Had he not gotten thrashed 44-6, maybe.

He looked confused, his players looked confused, and at no point last year after week 3 was there any form of a 'team'. He lost the players, and his quarterback doesn't respect anyone on the coaching staff. The players see the bigger picture, and they aren't going to play for him.

There is a reason he hasn't won a playoff game anywhere he has gone, he would've been a great DC - but as a coach, I don't think he'll find any work after he leaves here either. Outside of a coordinator position of course.

If that person would be anything like his defensive coordinator choice, I'd be worried.

But I will say this. Assume Cleveland changes regimes entirely and Rob Chudzinski is out of a job. He was once in the same genius boat with Garrett after last season. Would you hire him? I believe he was in San Diego with Phillips.

Regardless, any OC we have in here has to be very independent. The way things are structured now and would continue is with the two head coach-coordinator approach with Phillips loosely handling the whole team. I believe that is the way Jones wants it.

Lets see.....Embarrased in the last game at Texas Stadium, totally humiliated in a must win game at Philly.....has show a inclination to these kind of finishes.....

Yep, you're the only one that wants him back.

Wade needs to be a DC guys. He's not a top notch HC. He doesn't have to go, just forget being a HC here would be nice. Would love him as the DC. Garrett can go shovel snow for all I care.

I think everyone who likes the cowboys (fans, players, coaches) were baffled, dazed and confused watching that eagles game. Fumbles galore (two taken to the house, one set up a score right before half time). Getting behind did not allow us to run any form of an offense. We had to drop back and pass the whole day against an Eagle coached Defense (forgot the coordinators name) but that is right up his alley.

He got overruled by his QB on a 4th and 1 play that we absolutely had to have to make it any form of a game. Great command over his ball club.

His vaunted defense got embarrassed in front of legends in the last game at Texas stadium. Jerry surely isn't gonna take the blame for all that, and **** rolls downhill my friend.

I'm just upset Jerry put his foot in his mouth and supported him before the Philly game, or else we would be the ones interviewing candidates right now.

They weren't prepared. That's on Wade.

Wade is as good as it gets right now. A change would be ill advised. If he flops next year, which I don't think he will, then we should cut our losses.

A new head coach would set us back two years. A healthy team and a more dynamic approach on offense, along with reworking our OL and Special Teams, could pay off next season.

to me wade should not be blamed for all the fumbles, and offensive issues. To me things are just not always surfacely what the appear to be. I think our offensive approach was the biggest problem of this season. I think it lead to qb mistakes, and the murmering.

i agree totally. We all bash Jerry for his involvement. I think his involvement has caused problems, but I think that change he was talking about is starting now....by not having a knee jerk reaction, and firing Wade, and I think this team will be competitive next year if the offense is remotely fixed.

The thing that scares me about keeping Wade is the "worst case scenario" to start next season. Things could get ugly real quick. The schedule is not going to be easy, and if the team starts 0-3, 1-4, or something similar, Wade will be gone, and 2009 will be an utter waste.

Of course as a fan, I HOPE this doesn't happen, but I could see the Cowboys going 0-3 to start the season.

Hypothetically:
Week1 at Denver (no doubt the Cowboys will have a marquee game in week1)
Week2 home vs. Philly or NYG
Week3 home or away vs. tough, NFC South opponent.

All those three could be losses, and that would set off a firestorm that would undo the season practically before it started.

But you have to remember how late in the game Parcells left, and how we were left with scraps. Stewart wasn't even Wade's first choice, but what could we do? He could only choose from who was available, and SD had already lost most of its staff or wouldn't let us talk to the others.

Look at DeCamillis... He's a good one, and he has Wade ties, not RJ ones.

As for Chudzinski, I think he'd probably be okay. I'd rather have an old grizzled vet OC, because I think Tony might be more inclined to listen to him rather than a young guy. But there might not be a good one of those out there.

So pacman fumbling, barber fumbling, i forgot who else fumble that lead to a score is on wade. Man that was 20 points alone. To me we did not get to see the defense or offense play as it was game planned.

That won't happen. Of course there are many who would like to say it will, to support their agenda and be rid of Wade.

You're absolutely right. A good coaching staff doesn't grow on trees. Although a lot of people seem to think so.

I want them all back. Everyone should. I mean why have a differing opinion on that cause if you don't want him, or Garrett, or someone else back you're likely to be called stupid for having that thought anyway.

i think you are selling this team a little short. This current team has never lost 3 games in a row for one, and two the whole team was singing the praises of the defense (wade coached). We saw a beast in demarcus, and bradie play better than he ever has. This team could put put up 24 points a game, about a third less than wades first year and we would win the bowl.
