That is completely disinterested in this year's SB?
In 32 of the past 37 years that the Cowboys were not in the SB I was still excited to watch the "Big Game" - despite my team not being in it. My love for football and the excitement of a team being crowned a world champion was enough to draw me in. The biggest difference from the cowboys super bowl years versus non super bowl years was I only watch the pregame stuff for cowboys SB's. It didn't even matter who was the SB even when I despised both teams (NY/NE several years ago comes to mind) I still was eager to watch the game. This year is different. I really could care less about this game. I am much more interested in watching the Australian Open Men's final than watching the SB. The events that unfolded this year have really jaded me to football. I thought after a week I would be over our playoff lost, ready to move on - watch the pro bowl....watch the SB...and start gearing up for the offseason, FA, the draft etc. just like every year. However, this year I can't let the Dez call go (mostly because of how Bandino and the rest of the league/media has responded to it. Had they came out and admitted it was he wrong call and they messed up, I might have been able to move on. But this constant BS they are throwing at us (as if we were too stupid to figure it out on our own) and expecting us to go along with their BS excuses is insulting. Add in the handling of deflatgate which reeks of pushing the issue under the rug and displays a clear lack of morals and integrity by the league (the same league that acknowledges that the members of the NFL are role models for children), especially after 3-4 other occurrences when NE was found guilty of cheating. I also included how they handle off field issues with no consistency and at the discretion of the commissioner (unless there is a public outcry then we will be responsive), or the fact that the league admitted to collusion (not only a violation of the collective bargaining agreement but also federal law) yet penalize two teams for playing within the rules. Ohhh, and did I mention the wussification of the league?
I know this was a long rant, but am I the only one feels this way? If so, maybe I need therapy.

My Season ended in Greenbay, once the Cowboys are done, I am pretty much done with the NFL.
Other than being butthurt about losing, there's really no reason why people keep saying they're so disinterested in this game. From a football perspective, this is about as good as it gets.
Totally agree. I have zero interest but am socially obligated. I'l enjoy the commercials and the food.
Money determines outcomes in sports these days...and the related accolades.
In college football notice how the same teams year after year end up playing for the national championship...and what a coincidence that the "best college player" Heisman winner virtually ALWAYS plays in the national title game.
Meanwhile the NFL is a rich boys club that going back to its very early roots has owners with ties to gambling interests. And let's not even talk about their "non-profit" tax status or how the owners manipulate the public to purchase stadiums without the public receiving partial ownership of the venue!!! It's always been occasionally tainted...but it sure seems to be increasingly brazen.
It's worse than turds in the toilet. These people are truly scummy.
If you are ready for the red pill:

We're hosting a SB watch dinner with the entire fam coming over. I made it clear in phone calls and texts this was about watching the commercials and praying for a halftime wardrobe malfunction. I know I'll be sick whoever wins the game and really have no interest in watching. This week and next week ESPN and NFLN are dead to me.
Non-profit? I don't think so. The NFL is, but the individual teams are not.
