Am I the only one that is completely disinterested in this year's SB?

I'll watch the game.

But I have far more interest in the upcoming combine that I do the SB.

What's even more sickening is having to deal with all the news coverage this week. Want to watch the news you have to hear about the SB. My kids want to watch a show in the animal planet and they are talking about the SB. I know this happens every year but this year it is more annoying. ..mostly because they seem to be downplaying deflategate. I saw one person talk about they are so tired of talking about a damn football and people need to get their priorities in order....I guess having your, football team win at all cost is higher priority than morals, integrity and sportsmanship.

I am happy to be in 3 SB pools and have a shot at winning some cash....other than that, already started working on my 2015 draft spreadsheet...anyone want it when it's done? :)

Meh.. I really have no interest in watching the game. I'll catch some highlights or the 4th qtr. If It's a game. Otherwise don't bet on it.

I really dont have any interest in the game either.

Once Dallas is eliminated I usually start to lose interest in football for the season, this year that seems to be magnified by the way they were eliminated.

I also dont get all the people who become obsessed with the commercials, each year they get worse.

That is completely disinterested in this year's SB?

In 32 of the past 37 years that the Cowboys were not in the SB I was still excited to watch the "Big Game" - despite my team not being in it. My love for football and the excitement of a team being crowned a world champion was enough to draw me in. The biggest difference from the cowboys super bowl years versus non super bowl years was I only watch the pregame stuff for cowboys SB's. It didn't even matter who was the SB even when I despised both teams (NY/NE several years ago comes to mind) I still was eager to watch the game. This year is different. I really could care less about this game. I am much more interested in watching the Australian Open Men's final than watching the SB. The events that unfolded this year have really jaded me to football. I thought after a week I would be over our playoff lost, ready to move on - watch the pro bowl....watch the SB...and start gearing up for the offseason, FA, the draft etc. just like every year. However, this year I can't let the Dez call go (mostly because of how Bandino and the rest of the league/media has responded to it. Had they came out and admitted it was he wrong call and they messed up, I might have been able to move on. But this constant BS they are throwing at us (as if we were too stupid to figure it out on our own) and expecting us to go along with their BS excuses is insulting. Add in the handling of deflatgate which reeks of pushing the issue under the rug and displays a clear lack of morals and integrity by the league (the same league that acknowledges that the members of the NFL are role models for children), especially after 3-4 other occurrences when NE was found guilty of cheating. I also included how they handle off field issues with no consistency and at the discretion of the commissioner (unless there is a public outcry then we will be responsive), or the fact that the league admitted to collusion (not only a violation of the collective bargaining agreement but also federal law) yet penalize two teams for playing within the rules. Ohhh, and did I mention the wussification of the league?

I know this was a long rant, but am I the only one feels this way? If so, maybe I need therapy.
You'll have no football at all for 7 months and only Free Agency and the Draft to keep your fix going. I say tie the vein off and take the shot.

I feel the same way.

Both teams have used less than honest methods to get where they are today. Seattle, by using players with PED problems. And NE, with this latest Deflate-gate.

I said something very similar to what you said in another sports forum that I belong to, and you would have thought that I had spoken out against Mom, apple pie, and the flag.

just think in an alternative timeline cowboys are playing the patriots for SB 49. you all can tune in if you have the right equipment. ;)

I do....it's the want for others to join in the group effort to lower the rating on this crazy mess that is staining pro sports....Drama i tell you....Drama. lol..

I dont understand the purpose of forums if they weren't meant to express your thoughts and opinions....even if they don't align with yours.

Can't agree. Sucks the Cowboys aren't there, but I love football, and I actually enjoy watching both these teams play. From a matchup perspective I think it is captivating and I look forward to the game.

that makes two of us i guess. we are probably in the minority here haha. i've moved on from the dez call. its hard i know. but as a spurs fan too (yes i know mavs fans) i also have learned you got to beat those dang zebras too! spurs dominated the heat last season enough that they took the zebras out of the picture.

I'm not disinterested: I want the Seahawks to beat the Patriots.

I am pretty uninterested, though: I'm not that excited about watching it.

Thank you. I was about to post this distinction myself. Every so often, you just get tired of seeing "loose" for "lose" and "free reign" for "free rein" and other manglings of the language and have to speak up.
