Has the NFL ever made a bad call? If there is some kind of loop hole he is forever looking for it. I literally CAN NOT stand this guy.

Example: A facemask was not called against the Cardinals because the player did not tug, pull, or jerk the head. He did have fingers in the mask around the bar but it was incidental. Im sorry that is a load of ISHNISH. That play could have been a blow to the head and a facemask.

Dont get me wrong, I dont care that the cardinals wrong (i only care about the cowboys) but I hate how he feeds the fans this crap like we are stupid enough to believe filet mignon.

I really wish Eisen had said, "Well ok if that's the case how was it not a roughing the passer call then for the blow to the head? They've been making calls all year long for just touching a QB on the head so how was that not a blow to the head roughing the passer then?"

Cause that play could have, and should have, by the NFL rules been a penalty for two seperate things.

Cause Rich Eisen is an employee, He knows where his bread is buttered. He ask just enough questions to trick the masses into believing that hes concerned about the wrong.

Exactly... it should have been a penalty, and the refs just missed it.

Quite honestly, it's understandable that they missed it given how many other things were going on with that play, with the sack, the QB's arm moving forward, the QB kicking the ball, and the recovery and the TD.

But don't pretend that wasn't a penalty for SOMETHING... facemask, hands to face, blow to the QBs head... it definitely violated some rule.

Ding Ding Ding...I think it is very Rare that he will later say that the refs made a mistake when the truth is it happens quite a bit.

It is very annoying.

Just admit they made a mistake, they are human, it does happen...just quit trying to cover up for them when everyone can see it.

That would have been a terrible call on a great play, had no bearing whatsoever.

they should remove that segmant from the show, it really makes a mockery of the officiating that goes on today in the NFL
Periera always covers himself by proclaiming at the start of each review--'what the referee probably saw was....etc etc etc..."..but he never says that a bad call was made or not

He didn't pull on the facemask at all I didn't think.

From what I saw his hands were inside the facemask and Rodgers head was pulled forward. Given the over protection of the QB's I was shocked nothing was called then again I did not see it clearly until the replay and as we all know that foul is not reviewable. Refs missed it but nothing was going to change the call or I should say non call

Ref was watching the ball and what was going on there. WHICH is what he SHOULD have been doing.

That is absolutely impossible to say.

That was a one-in-a-million play, with Rodgers kicking the ball in the very specific way he did.

Who's to say what might have happened if the guy didn't have his facemask... and if you look at the picture, he clearly pulled the helmet down over his eyes slightly.

If any little thing had gone differently in that play, the ball may have fallen to the ground, and if that'd have happened, I think they would have invoked the "tuck" rule.

No argument there. Im not even upset that they missed it. I just get tired of him acting like the world is blind.

I would rather him say...we missed it, but im glad we did, because it had no bearing and it was not malicious, instead of acting like nothing happened.

now that i think about it you are right, though this thread was not really about that specific play, that was an example. He does that crap all the time.
