Am I the only one that thinks Nick Foles would do good here?

We need a backup..I don't know if Foles' contract would prevent signing him but if that's not a issue I think he should get a look. He had a really good season in Philly a couple years back, set an NFL record, and went to the pro bowl. You don't have "fluke" seasons in the NFL, you have "fluke" games. He hasn't done anything in LA because he has nothing to work with. THis guy would be a great backup to Romo and can win games with THIS team. As far as him not being very mobile, don't we have the best line in the league? I know many here are going to roll their eyes and so on but why so much hate for Foles? Is it because he was an Eagle? I don't get it. I would like hear good logical responses, no elementary sarcasm please. I think the guy can play..at a high level. I also think if he goes somewhere decent, like Dallas, he'll prove that........

As a backup, Foles is a good option. Would have no problem seeing him as Romo's backup.

I agreed that he could be a good backup here. The problem, as I see it, is that our front office is happy with what we have at backup and doesn't think that Foles (or anybody else currently available) would be an upgrade. The one area that Moore has an advantage in over anyone coming in from the outside is that he has had a year in our system. Well, that, and Linehan seems to like him a lot...That's just my take on it.

Wow yall just don't like to give players a chance unless it's a fan favorite player like Beasley then they get a pass.

Personally I want to see what Moore can do handling all backup duties.......anybody that says they have seen enough to know he will never make it is filling themselves.

I want to see if Dak can develop. He already looks better snapping the ball under center.

I also want to see how far Showers has came.

Stop with the wannabe quick fixes. This isn't Madden you can't just trade and sign whoever you want. Give the young guys a chance

Last year he was the worst starter in the NFL in QBR. Yes, worse than Bradford and Gabbert. Actually sorry, only Cassel was worse.

He's terrible and probably going to cost you a fortune.

Personally, I kind of fall in the middle on this one. I think Foles could be a decent backup, but he would need a full camp to have a shot at grasping our system. At the same time, I would like to see Moore have a full camp to see what he can accomplish in our system. Bottom line for me...sign another vet backup now (Foles, or someone else), and let him and Moore battle it out in a full TC for number two. I wouldn't even consider Dak, I'd give him a full year to sit and learn, and see what he can do next year.
