Am I the only one who has noticed... Gumbel sucks? *Merge*

Gumbel is ear-torture. I've said it before, he sounds like he's calling the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade with a mug of hot cocoa. He's got a severe case of team dyslexia and called Marion Barber the "heartbeat of the Packers offense." Nothing is worse than his calling quarters "periods." Collinsworth is a very good color guy being dragged down by an overmatched morning-show host. I tried to switch to radio play-by-play but they had Denny Green in the booth. After a few plays, I realized he "was who I thought he was"- the only voice more repellent than Gumbel's.

I had to watch our game last year off a recording, and I already knew we'd won, so I guess I didn't pay attention that closely... But my God he's awful. Unbearably awful.

Don't forget: he's dating Jessica Simpson, Carelly Underwodd, and he's single.

I'll be honest, I loved Gumble and the NFL network's display of the game. It's significantly better than Monday Night Football by a mile. Gumble is intelligent and makes insightful comments. People don't like Gumble because of his attitude. He is cocky and some people can't get past that regardless if what he is saying is intelligent. He wasn't just repeating the obvious and was analyzing the game and offerring commentary of his own as opposed to play b play guys who offer no opinion and are simply robots. Chris Collinsworth was good too. I could care less about his mistakes; I could overlook that. I would much rather have a person with an opinion than an accurate robot.

Gumble's attitude is not what turns me off. He just doesn't know football that well and he makes too many mistakes. In addition to calling the Cowboys the Packers three times, he called one of the teams the Colts, if I heard him correctly.

I really like Collinsworth. I don't mind that he was showing the Pack a lot of love. He knows what he is talking about.

WTH was Gumble doing? He didn't know the player names and worse, he kept getting teams mixed up. What a tard.

Maybe we can get an interview with Rick Romo. Did anybody hear that during the handshakes.

Is it too much to ask that that person know which frikkin' team is which? Not to mention half the players out there.

I don't know if anyone else noticed, but it sure sounded like Gumble said something like "we'll be talking to 'Ricky Romo' when we come back" after the game was over. I'm 99% sure that's what he said.

added: looks like someone else notice that, too. I didn't think I was hearing things.

He said this? :laugh2: I wish I heard that.
My favorite part from him is when he couldn't get the correct injured player for us at the end of the 1st half. Somehow it was Akin, than Bradie, than finally Burnett. I laughed for a good minute when he said that.
