I was halfway expecting him to declare on a kickoff return, "He's tackled by Al Davis at the 22, it would appear that's he's short of the goal line"

Incidentally, it would appear that he has come up short as an announcer.

I can not believe he called Tony Romo, Rick romo. I was so frustrated listening to him announce the Cowboys as "the Pack". What a disgrace to the broadcast booth.

I have never seen an announcer who had such difficult time with player names and even worse, couldn't get the team's name right, totally inexcuseable failures. This incompetent buffon should not announce another sporting event.

Bryant Gumble and the entire NFLN broadcast is horrible.

I still don't understand why they make the clock, quarter and score icons so big and on the middle of the screen.

Yes, towards the end of the game he called Romo, Rick Romo.

He made alot of other gaffs, but there were just too many to keep track of.

There are very few more arrogant, self-serving idiots in this world than Bryant Gumbel...

It's hard to believe he's the more successful of the two Gumbel brothers...

I remember either Gordon Keith or Corby Davidson from KTCK asking Greg Gumbel on the air one time if he hated his brother like every one else did. He never really answered the question. He just kind of sheepishly laughed.

He obviously hates his brother... just like everyone else does...

Listening to the ticket...they played audio of a couple of gems from Gumble.

After Collingsworth gives praise to Barber during the game Gumble replies..."Yeah Packers coach Mike Mccarthy calls Marion Barber the heart-beat of the Green Bay offense."
Then after the game he announces " Mike Marucci is the process of trying to run down Dallas qb Rick Romo for an interview."
If anyone wants to hear what it sounds like to hear an announcer who doesn't prep for a game...listen to Gumble on these broadcasts.
He was so bad he reminded me of my sister who doesn't even watch sports.
1st period instead of 1st quarter...
Could barely remember the name of the stadium he was in...
The post game was suddenly sponsored by Wendy's instead of Home Depot...
The guy sucks!
