Am I the only person who thinks that Lissemore could really thrive in our new D? I'm not saying he will be a star, but he should be part of the conversation when everyone worries about "how thin and old we are at DT">

him and hopefully brian price gets back to his form when he was taken by the bucs.

I think our d-line coach is going to get something out of him. I'm kind of more worried about our back up DE's aka passrushing specialist at DE that are going to keep ware and spencer fresh. As of right now we don't have quality back up DE's. I would sign one in FA and draft one that can be groomed to take over for spencer. I guess we have to wait and see how the draft falls.

This may suprise every one but I think a TE will be selected within the frist 3 rounds if it fits our board. Garrett and tony romo were alot better when we had 2 legit TE's. Lets not forget we drafted both bennett and fasino in the 2nd round even when we had prime witten.

Wouldn't shock me at all.

I think he will be great, but we just need someone who will be a real sack artist in the middle, Richardson would be ideal. I do like that Lissemore will be a guy who will help out to collapse the pocket.

I'm actually thinking the opposite, I think he might be a man without a position in a 4-3. I think he might strictly be a 3-4 defensive end.

I look forward to seeing him in this new defense. Last season a high ankle sprain really slowed him down. I just hope he and others on defense are using their own time to study up on Kiffin defense. I know it is not mandatory but I would like to think guys will take it upon themselves to learn and understand what is being asked of them in this new defense. If they do then the learning curve will be much smaller.

He should be fine at the 1 tech, Kiffin doesn't want the typical big NT. He uses guys that can also play the 3.

He should be a lot better in this defense where he will be able to use his quickness and athleticism more often, especially when rushing the passer.

I thought Hannah looked good last year with the opportunities he got.

I keep reading (from Goofy Gosselin, for example) that it will take years to get Dallas' personnel right for the 4-3. I don't at all agree with that. In fact many of the players fit as good or better with the new scheme.
I wish Ratliff was younger, he would be ideal.

Seeing that he was a 4-3 DT in college, I think he'll do just fine. I think he can man either spot.

I don't think the scheme change is going to be all that difficult in terms of the personnel fits. I'm curious to see how they take advantage of the press corners, since that's the area where we'd just invested so much for the prior scheme.

The LBs are a no-brainer great fit.

And the DL hinges on Rat handling the 3 and on Spencer handling DE. Both of those are ok bets, and we've got 3 tech options in Hatcher and Crawford, to back ourselves up.

The biggest question mark, by far, for the defense is at the S spots, and those were the biggest question marks with the previous defense, so not a lot has changed.

I'm interested to see, though, if we end up looking a lot more like SEA last season, or more like the Bucs or Bears teams of recent years. And I'm *dying* to see if anything can be done with the scheme change to manufacture turnovers. That's the single most important defensive change, and I'm pretty skeptical that it's something that turns on with a flip of the defensive scheme switch. We'll see.

I agree.

Both Ratliff and Lissimore are built for the off tackle in a 4-3. Lissimore is the perfect backup complement to Ratliff.

Lissemore was a guy I had hoped would have a breakout season last year. He didn't meet expectations, but I do think he'll improve with limited snaps as he had in 2011.

Lissemore is a little above a JAG.

You need those guys, though. Every team has them, and every team depends on them to round out rosters.
