Am I wrong for hoping Heath sits?

Heath isn’t practicing today because he is in the concussion protocol.

Am I the only one hoping we see him sit this week so Woods can start?

I’m not saying Heath is an awful player but I have seen Woods pop off the screen several times this season. I want to see him start and receive more responsibilities.

Please tell me I’m not a bad fan for hoping Heath’s injury lingers an extra day or 2 to give Woods the shot that I feel he deserves.

Yes. You are wrong.

A) You shouldn't be hoping someone is too injured to play. Crass on a human level.

B) Heath hasn't been as good as hoped in a full time role but hasn't been as bad as portrayed either.

Yeah, I think you are. The biggest problem this Defense has, at this point, are years on earth. Heath is one of our most experienced DBs. We need experience in a bad way IMO.

If for anything we need Heath at least for ST's play. I rather he be ok and play S, because he can also be out there for ST's.
And though woods looks good, and we want to see him at S, but is he really that much better to start at this point.

Many think so, and I want to see him out there too. But I think he has a bit more to learn, as Heath does too.

I hope Heath is fine, but I agree that Woods needs more time on the Field so we can see what we have here.
He has shown some flashes.
We need to see if he is our Safety of the future.

Perfect answer.

I don’t disagree with anything you said.

I feel wrong but I’m hoping Woods gets more playing time. He seems like a player.

It doesn’t seem like starting spots typically change hands on this team unless there is some kind of injury to expedite the process.

Call me crazy, but Jeff Heath is the least of our problems on our team. He has been "okay". I think the issues at lb and tackle are much more glaring.

I don’t disagree but...

How many positions can we say we have a potential better player sitting on the bench?

Heath is one...I don’t know many others.

Heath had maybe his best game this year v ATL. I'd rather have him in there.

Nothing wrong with wanting to get a look at a potentially dynamic player in a more signifcant role

Woods is playing more and more and it's his job to lose full time next year.

They play 3 Safeties often. If Woods moves from 3rd to 2nd Safety then somebody else has to move from 4th to 3rd.

They have been able to get Woods a lot of experience without over-exposing him. That's the ideal method to develop a 6th round pick.

In the Green Bay game Awuzie replaced Heath for 9 snaps. That number might have been higher if he played the entire game.

Conclusion: Hope for Awuzie to be healthy, not for Heath to be injured.

No, sir -- I don't think you're a bad fan at all for wanting to see if another player such as Woods can help our favorite team improve its defense. Xavier Woods has responded very favorably to the limited reps that he's been privileged to partake in thus far this season. I'm looking forward to seeing more of him myself. Does that make me a bad fan? Hearty-har-har. . . I think not! :)

He’s been good over the last month or so. Good luck tackling with woods and jones they both suck at tackling.

You are wrong. Heath has been better tackler than Woods. Woods has been good in coverage but he has been inconsistent when it comes to tackling. More so than Heath.

Well...considering he's already been laying down on defense, sitting isn't nearly as bad...so feel good about yourself!
