Amari Cooper made it clear he wants to remain with the Cowboys after this season ends. He is set to be a free agent but the Cowboys could use the franchise or transition tag on him that could limit his market. “I love it here. I want to be here,” Cooper said. “I just love this situation, my teammates. I just feel it’s the place for me.”

Meh, we most likely Franchise one or the other. Or the Transition tag.

He likes it here fine but he wants to be paid like the best WR in the league. The notion he won't negotiate a contract is skewed. he wants to be here but not at a discount or team friendly deal.

He may want to stay here but it’s ALWAYS about the money. And who can blame the young man. Let’s hope we get him a new deal and he’s here for many years. In this day of prima donna WR’s Coop is a breath of fresh air.

Would you rather make $18M/yr in Dallas or $20M/yr in NJ/NY playing for the Jets? $18M in Dallas or $20M in Buffalo? $18M in Dallas or $20M in LA? One gets a lot more for his money in Dallas than in NY or LA. And who wants to live in Buffalo? $18M in Dallas or $20M in Cinci?

$18M in Dallas or $20M in Miami? Now that might be a tough decision for some.

Just because a job pays less doesn't necessarily mean that it is not the better option. Location, taxes, weather, power of one's dollar, family, friends, etc.

If Amari Cooper really likes it here and has designs on leaving for greener pastures, he needs to give DeMarco Murray a call.

Murray chased the money, and rightfully so, but regretted what it did to his career. The Cowboys haven't done much right lately, but they hit it out of the park with the Amari trade. Stay here, bro!!:starspin:

The Cowboys didn't give up a #1 draft pick for him just to let him walk.
Go ahead and mark his name down on your 2020 Dallas Cowboys roster.

He knows JJ will pay money. Let’s see what happens when his agent gets greedy. I do think that JJ already gave a good offer so he knows they can get that number up. He has been injured a lot this year. He tries to play through it but still. How long before he can no longer play the way he does. He breaks ankles and knees the way he cuts when healthy, including his own. Be careful JJ. But I want him..,

Big huge mistake by the Cowboys not reaching a long term deal when they traded for him.
Not according to at least 30 posters here who were adamant that the team make him prove it for 2 years before discussing a new contract. Hindsight!!!

He sees the way Jerrah over pays so of course he wants to be here. Plus after he gets paid there is no accountability so you don’t have to worry about living up to the contract. Just ask Zeke and Demarcus.
