Amazing High School Dunk

This video has been making its way around the sports blogs, so thought I'd post it. Possibly one of the best basketball plays I've ever seen.

Even more incredibly, it's from the small farm town high school in Oregon that I went to!

I think the in the 4 years I went there, we didn't have a single dunk... much less one like this!

That's a more impressive than any of the dunks at this year's Slam Dunk contest by a wide margin.

Plus it was during game conditions, and the kid that threw it down was a 6 foot tall farm-boy teenager.

You're a tough guy to impress.

I was fortunate enough to see some very good players at the school I went to growing up. One guy was 5'-10" and could just float. He had a dunk very similar to that one in a game while he was at junior college. Another guy on that high school team was 5'-7" and he could dunk at one time before he blew out his ACL.

This video was a nice dunk, but I would not call it the dunk of the year as it is titled on that site. Maybe dunk of the year for that particular school or area.

I've just never seen a full-court, bounce pass, alley-oop before.

I thought it was pretty impressive. But that 720 dunk from 1-2 years ago was a little better.

i thought the dunk itself was pretty weak.

i did love the full court pass, in stride.

and if you want to see some amazing dunks by guys that height (and some shorter), google "Team Flight Brothers" or "Kadour Ziani"
