Please spare me the "yay guys we almost did it" garbage. This team is a mess. After two plus years, we still have no real team identity. What sort of environment is Garrett fostering? Are we smash mouth? No.. Are we Air Romo? No.. Are we the team that says our defense will carry us through? No.... We are a sad comedy of collective underachievers. This includes the coaching staff. We sat and hoped today but we're not surprised at the outcome. This team just can't get out of its own way. Don't blame the refs. We place our own selves in these ridiculous situations. No matter how you choose to slice it, we are who we are. That is a team with zero identity.

Everyone agrees with me? I'm in shock. (or perhaps many of you are) We are who we are. Once you accept that it is what it is, the games become a bit more palatable.

I've been saying this for awhile. We support one of the biggest franchises in all of sports and we shouldn't have to settle for this.

I hope fans stop giving Jerry Jones money until he wins. Boycott this franchise for awhile until we have one of the best teams from top to bottom.

Right now the GM, Coach, and players are nothing but a inch of guys who know how to lose.

I agree with you in some ways. I am over pointing the finger. Its unfortunately the system the NFL operates under that causes this. You say mediocrity. The entire league is mediocre. That's the parity that we have in the modern NFL. Its about money and that's it. The league wants to cater to the casual fans and casual fans like every game coming down to the last play. They don't care about the details in between.

As for our cowboys...we are like everyone else..everyone else. Look around the league. The teams that look pretty good now will have a few of the lucky calls go against them and they will end up 8-8. The team that wins the Superbowl may not be the best team. They may be like the giants last year.

We have issues that can't just get fixed. However our line can improve. Our offense can improve. Our play calling can improve. Today's game was one that we lost in spite of the fact that we out played them. It happens all over the NFL these days. It will continue to happen so yes I think many fans are starting to realize that its just entertainment and the emotions are being sucked out by overall mediocre play in a mediocre NFL. That's the way they want it.
